No one dares to press charges. Anne Bonner (Lucinda Jenney) and Jim Marsh (David Keith) are having an intimate evening together, but things become tense when Marsh moves faster than Anne is comfortable with. Upset that he would not stop when she asked, she forces him out of her house and the next day files sexual harassment charges against him. Marsh takes Randy Willitz (Cole Hauser), a rookie, out for his first day. Lenny (Matt Craven) and Jerry are cruising a residential neighborhood where they pull over a car with a dangling muffler. As Jerry approaches the car, he is suddenly gunned down and the driver speeds away.

Lo and behold, Batman - who wisely held his Batbreath - emerges from the plaster, and The Mad Hatter and his cronies Cappy and Dicer make a hasty retreat. They try to utilize The Batmobile as a getaway car, but they unknowingly trigger its Antitheft Device strategically set up by The Dynamic Duo (there have been a rash of recent car thefts in the area). Learning that The Hatter has only one more juror to capture, Turkey Bullwinkle, owner of the Bowl-O-Drome bowling alley, Batman arranges for Alfred to plant a Homing Battransmitter in Bullwinkle's bowler, hoping that it will lead them to The Mad Hatter's hideaway.

Lori keeps pursuing the Nicky Krasnakov miniseries idea, making promises along the way that she knows she can't keep. Rob lunches with Bea Arthur, who pitches the idea of a TV movie about Ethel Merman, with herself in the lead role. Parker Meridien uses information he got from his girlfriend, Audrey (Rob's daughter), to make fun of Rob on his show Parker's Pals.
