Following in the bloody footsteps of the auto-accident documentaries produced by Highway Safety Films (HSF) of Ohio, with their color footage of mangled accident victims, came a number of independently produced imitators seeking to outdo the HSF product for grue and shock value. Of these, DEATH ON THE HIGHWAY a/k/a/ RIDE TO LIVE, LIVE TO RIDE is probably the most infamous (and sought-after), produced by the "Suicide Club" (Dean Robinson, who also narrates). The main difference between Robinson's film and those of HSF is that, while the HSF offerings consist solely of movie footage of accident scenes, DEATH ON THE HIGHWAY is composed largely of still photos retouched with red ink to underline the gruesomeness. Offered for our inspection: charred corpses scraped from burned cars, a young man cut in half, a young woman with both arms and the top of her head sheared away, and the grand finale: two young children with their arms torn off, pictured first at the accident scene and later side-by-side on a mortuary slab.

Live from Mississauga, Ontario the two-hour Bell Making the Cut series finale features the Top 18 players centre ice for a series of skills and drills under the watchful eye of the six NHL General Managers; mentors Mike Keenan and Scotty Bowman; and Jack Birch and his insightful team of evaluators. The players compete in four skill-testing drills: Shot Accuracy, Hardest Shot, Fastest Skater, and the Ambush. This is their last shot at impressing the NHL big-wigs – each GM will pick one player to attend their NHL training camp. Only six will make it. With family and friends crowding the stands, emotions will be tense and expectations high. Interviews with the players and their family's take place rink side, and the winner of the Reader's Digest Readers' Choice Award will be announced. High stakes lead to fierce action as the Black Aces battle for vengeance and redemption. "This is turning out better than anyone could have hoped," says Mike Keenan. The driver has a fulminating heart attack, and the group decides to drive to the near village of Tolnio instead, to spend the night and follow to Bojoni on the next morning. They find nobody in the apparently ghost city, but in the next morning, they meet the hospitable dwellers. Their bus has a problem in the engine, and they have to stay in Tolnio. Sooner they find that they are trapped in a vampire village.

Of course, he does not bite women, as a good guy he sticks to pig blood which is offered by the local butcher as a special offer for vampires. Trouble rises when a vampire hunter tries to track him down with wooden sticks and silver bullets.
