Bout #2

**Dawn's best days may very well be behind her
**Interview; Miss Hybrid is obviously still gunning for Crystal Cunard's Women's title and vows to again be out scouting Cunard when she faces Nikki Crawford later in the show.
Bout #3
Uriah (/w Derek St. Holmes) defeated Lance Storm by pinfall
**the monstrous devastation of Uriah was unleashed on veteran Lance Storm in what turned into a glorified squash match.
**Derek St Holmes openly admits to finally finding his meal ticket after kicking around Mid-American wrestling for almost 20 years now. He says soon the time will be right for Uriah to take the final step and end Eddie Chavez' title reign.
Bout #4
TV Title Bout
Jody Christmas defeated Jon Cutler by pinfall
[Jody Christmas retained the APW Television Title]
**after an intense 12 minute bout Christmas solidified his claim to the television title over former champion Cutler
Hour #2
Bout #5
Women's Title Bout
Nikki Crawford defeated Crystal Cunard by countout
[Crystal Cunard retained the APW Women's Title]
**Although Miss Hybrid didn't interfere at all like she did last week, she played enough mind games with Cunard and the ref to make the women's champ lose her temper, leave the ring and attack Hybrid. Eventually she was counted out.
Bout #6
Kenny Omega and Mentallo battled to a double disqualification
**as much as the official tried to get this match back on track and inside the ring, these two high flyers seemed much more intent on doing damage to each other as the war between former friends heated up even more.
Main Event
Six-Man Tag Match
Eddie Chavez, Moses Luke & Donnie DiCaprio defeated Asp Evergreen, Buck Kake & El Camino by pinfall when Luke pinned Kake
**good match to showcase all participants, but Luke and DiCaprio really established themselves as the #1 contenders for the tag titles.

Hour #1
#1 Women's contender match
Rain defeated Lacey by pinfall
**Lacey had a bit of bad luck and twisted her knee landing after a flip and this hampered her throughout the match. Much to everyone's surprise after a hard fought match the long time tag partners ended with a hug and left the ring together.
Wes Shivers defeated J.D. McKay by pinfall
Wes Shivers defeated Cody Miller by pinfall
Wes Shivers defeated Jack Hasse by pinfall
**the new unbridled aggression of Wes Shivers shows again. Not happy with an easy squash match over McKay he demanded another opponent, and after pinning Miller in less then 2 minutes demanded another. Jack Hasse was a bit more formible but only lasted around 4 minutes. Having beaten up 3 men though just seemed to enrage Shivers more who demanded another opponent..but this time he got security instead. Not happy Shivers decked and gave a jack-knife powerbomb to one of the security guards before leaving.
**Deanna Conda comes out and challenges Chyna to a match. She says Chyna was her hero, her inspiration, a real pioneer for muscular women in pro wrestling. But now Conda says Chyna is running around like a cuckold wife for Asp Evergreen, a disgrace to women's wrestling. Chyna comes out and does not waste much time explaining herself, instead accepting the bout and going right to work on Conda.
Chyna defeated Deanna Conda by submission
Eddie Chavez defeated Raymond Bingham by pinfall
**despite the clean win by Chavez, Bingham and his partner Rulon Gardner have another title match set up for next week against Chavez and Evergreen. This time it will be a Steel Cage match because the last two matches have been a countout and a DQ against the champs. Apparently Chavez is ready, but can Evergreen get past the distraction of Chyna?
Hour #2
**Television champion Jody Christmas comes out to the ring and calls out his "mentor" Darren Michaels. He wants to know what Michaels is up to, why he allowed Christmas to get the boots laid to him last week instead of helping. Michaels could not be goaded into an answer, but was extremely upset. All he said to Christmas was "don't question me boy" and left the ring.
**Gregor Wynn comes to the ring and calls out Donnie DiCaprio. He ridicules him and eventually makes him start to cry. To save face DiCaprio accepts a match with Wynn, and Wynn tells him he might want to bring his Daddy Steve Corino to hold his hand.
Gregor Wynn defeated Donnie DiCaprio by pinfall
**DiCaprio showed some good stuff, especially when Steve Corino did come down to ringside and gave DiCaprio some encouragement and advice. However, Wynn is just too talented. After the match Wynn continued to beat down on DiCaprio while Svetlana and Katrina cheered him on. This was a ploy to draw Corino into the ring, which was then followed by Ivan making an appearance and taking out Corino from behind. The beat down continued until Moses Luke came down to rescue Corino and his former partner Donnie DiCaprio.
Amy Bates & Crystal Cunard defeated Nikki Crawford & April Hunter by pinfall when Cunard pinned Crawford
**Jack Larkin comes to the ring and calls out Jessica Hatch. He asks her if her man Uriah is here tonight to defend his title. Hatch says she has not seen Uriah for weeks. Larkin has the ref slowly count to 10...and when Uriah fails to show declares the title vacant. Before leaving the ring Jessica Hatch tells Larkin he just signed his death warrant. Larkin warns her as she walks away if Thaddeus Coleman or Ricky Foley interfere in the main event they will not be suspended from APW they and her, will be booted from APW for good. With that Larkin announces the top 2 contenders who were supposed to face Uriah in a 3-way for the title tonight will now meet to determine a new APW Heavyweight champion.Unfortunately Larkin says that Uriah still has the actual APW belt, so he has no belt to hand out.
Main Event
Jody Christmas (/w Darren Michaels) and Collin Green battled to a no contest
[APW Heavyweight title remains vacant]
**Christmas probably had the better of the match, and Michaels helped him with some advice as well as a well timed right cross to Green. However, before a resolution could be had to the match, Uriah appeared from the crowd and laid out both men with the APW title belt. Uriah pounded away at both men for a minute while Darren Michaels just looked on and took no action. Jessica Hatch came down to the ring to try and talk to Uriah but he ignored her and just walked away through the crowd with his APW title belt.

River City Wrestling #108
Winnipeg Convention Cente, Winnipeg, MB
We are welcomed by the hosts Ron Strong & Mike Stone.
Tempers have boiled over, and tonight's main event will see a giant Six Man "Anything Goes, Come as You Are" match with The Destroyer and the Roughnecks taking on Chris Lyon, Angelo Mosca, and Bobby Duncum! Should be a lesson in brutality!
Opening Bout:
Chris Pepper, 240 lbs. Winnipeg, Manitoba
v
Cuban Assassin, 231 lbs., Havana, Cuba
Pepper gets his chances, but Assassin nails him with a hard spinebuster slam to soften up his back before applying his finisher.
The Cuban Assassin defeated Chris Pepper by submission with the Havana Hug at 2:52
Interview:
Destroyer is rather philosophical about his loss of the RCW title to Chris Lyon despite the outside interference that made it possible. The Roughnecks are not so forgiving and send a warning to their opponents tonight they will be dressed as they are for the ranch - including spurs, and whatever ranch patties might be stuck to the bottom of their boots.
Bout #2:
Keith Hart, Calgary, Alberta, 214 lbs.
v
Red Demon, parts unknown, 207 lbs.
We hadn't seen Red Demon before and the fans were expecting a squash. However, it soon became obvious that this Red Demon not only could compete but was also a very dirty wrestler. The action alternated between inside and outside the ring. Hart came off the ropes but Demon ducked under a clothesline attempt, and then nailed Hart with a shoulderblock right to the head. Very vicious looking move. Demon hiptossed Hart to where he wanted him in the ring and then flipped the crowd off. He climbed to the top rope and came down with a falling headbutt to Hart to pick up a surprise win.
The Red Demon defeated Keith Hart by pinfall after a falling headbutt from the top rope at 9:45
Post-Match:
When Ron Strong went to interview Red Demon about his surprise victory the masked man pulled off his hood to reveal himself as Stampede wrestler Dynamite Kid. He told Hart that this was just a sample of the punishment he was going to receive at Wrestling Summit, so don't show up if you ever want to walk again.
Bout #3:
RCW Television Title Match
The Bounty Hunter (champion), 275 lbs., El Paso, Texas
v
Ray "the crippler" Stevens, 247 lbs., San Fransisco, California
Bounty Hunter has continued to duck Stevens after getting himself DQ'd in a prior match-up. As you would expect this match is a complete brawl with the action more outside the ring then in. But when it is inside Hunter grabs the advantage witha cobra clutch suplex, followed by a football tackle and then his Western lariat finisher. However, they are too close to the ropes and Stevens survives by draping a foot over the bottom strand.
The frustrated champion takes the match back outside and runs Stevens into the steel barriers a couple of times before Stevens strikes back. The challenger is just as vicious as the champ and nails him with a piledriver on the concrete floor.
Back inside though the champ manages to kick out at 2. Stevens gets a sleeperhold on the BH but he manages to reach the ropes and stay alive. Stevens is relentless though and slaps on his Boston crab. Again BH reaches the bottom strand to get the break but its obvious he has nothing left in the tank. Stevens takes him to the corner and nails a piledriver. He then climbs to the top turnbuckle for the Bombs Away finisher..but Pat Patterson appears suddenly from the back and throws the challenger off the top. Referee George Gadasky calls for the bell.
Ray Stevens defeats Bounty Hunter by disqualification due to outside interference from Pat Patterson at 9:10.[Bounty Hunter retains the RCW Television Title]
Post-Match:
Stevens isn't that badly hurt so he recovers fast enough to meet Patterson with a knuckle sandwich. Stevens tosses Patterson from the ring and he and the Bounty Hunter take off.
Ron Strong enters the ring to interview Ray Stevens. The crippler says he thought this would happen and has already had a meeting with RCW matchmaker Marty Goldstein in case it did. Stevens says that he has a match for the title against Bounty Hunter at Wrestling Summit, and that he has found a way to deal with Pat Patterson. In a match immediately preceeding the Stevens-BH match at Summit, Pat Patterson will be in action against...Abdullah the Butcher!!! Stevens laughs and says he doesn't think that Patterson will be helping anyone out after that match.

Main Event
Six Man "Come As You Are, Anything Goes Match"
The Destroyer & The Roughnecks (Stan Rodgers & Russel Riggs)
v
Chris Lyon, Angelo Mosca, & Bobby Duncum
Despite it being an "anything goes" match it soon got out of hand with referee Lynn Powell getting knocked out by Angelo Mosca. When RCW sent out replacement officials to try and get order restored they met a similar fate. Rodgers busted Duncum wide open with his boot spur, and Lyon attacked Destroyer with the ring bell, using it to choke him out on the announce table. Mosca and Riggs began to fight into the crowd.
Marty Goldstein came down with more officials to break it up, and when that didn't work both dressing room's wrestlers spilled out to join the fray. It was a mess as the show came to an abrupt end with a reminder that Wrestling Summit was coming on this Thursday August 4th.

All three victims share the same birthday of Aug. 17---the date Millander's father was slain---with the years in descending order from 1959. Documentary: "70's Fever" (2008) (TV)
If the 1960s represented peace, love, and the "We Generation", then the 1970s came to represent the pleasure seeking excesses of the "Me Generation." The 1970s were a decade when cocaine was king, a President fell in disgrace, homegrown terrorist groups prowled the streets and all-night parties raged in Studio 54 - all while neighborhoods burned and the Son of Sam hunted. And yet it was a time of renewed liberties, and huge technological leaps when two kids named Steve built a machine in their Silicon Valley garage that changed the world. Using rare footage and a period soundtrack, this special deconstructs the 1970s, from Watergate to Studio 54. It evokes nostalgia and challenges it, exploring the dark side of the decade's cult leaders, sexual liberation and disco scene.

Hour #1
Wes Shivers defeated Sicodelica by pinfall
**Shivers returns from obscurity in the best shape of his life, but with the same crappy attitude
SSA (Thaddeus Coleman & Ricky Foley) (/w Jessica Hatch) defeated JD McKay & Cody Miller by pinfall
**squash match. Hatch is back from her injuries and not in a good mood. She says no one has seen or heard from Uriah in 3 weeks now. This brings out Jack Larkin who says that Uriah's last chance to defend his title will be next week or he will be stripped of the title. Larkin says that match will be a 3-way match with Jody Christmas and Colin Green. In addition, those two men will compete in tonight's main event for Christmas' TV title, as Green won the #1 contendership for that title last week. Hatch says she wouldnt want to be in the shoes of the man who took Uriah's title from him. This seems to hit home with Larkin who looks worried.
Gregor Wynn (/w Ivan, Svetlana, and Katrina) defeated Moses Luke by pinfall
**Wynn comes up with another victory over Luke, which rebounds him after his loss to Green last week, and gets some revenge on Luke for defeating Ivan last week.
**Lacey & Rain are interviewed and told that since there is no women's tag title in APW the only way for them to move up is as individuals. They are told that if they meet one on one against each other next week the winner would become the #1 contender for the women's title. After some hesitation and talk they finally agree.
APW Women's Title Match
Nikki Crawford (/w April Hunter) defeated Amy Bates (/w Crystal Cunard) by submission
[Nikki Crawford retains the APW Women's title]
**This was the fall out from last week's posedown. It looked like Hunter and Cunard were willing to restrict their involvement to strategy and encouragement until Crawford got up into the grill of Cunard and got shoved off. This precipatated some timely outside interference by Hunter and helped Crawford to victory. As Cunard tended to Bates after the match she exchanged verbal jousts with Crawford and Hunter.
Hour #2
**Donnie DiCaprio comes out and is ridiculed by the fans for being a cry baby. So DiCaprio says he wants to challenge the biggest guy in APW here tonight, Ivan. Gregor Wynn comes out with his group and accepts the challenge but only under the condition that if DiCaprio is not victorious then he will have to join Wynn's entourage. DiCaprio agrees but only one on one, he says Wynn and the girls have to go to the back.
Donnie DiCaprio defeated Ivan by pinfall
**it took a collission between DiCaprio and the ref knocking them both out, and then Steve Corino nailing Ivan from behind to allow a stunned DiCaprio to finally break his losing streak. He celebrated not realizing that Corino had come down to help him.
APW Tag Team Titles
Raymond Bingham & Rulon Gardner defeated Asp Evergreen & Eddie Chavez (/w Chyna) by countout
[Evergreen & Chavez retained the APW Tag Titles]
**Chavez had to do all the heavy lifting in this match since Asp was still nursing a knee injury. Asp wanted in at times but Chavez wouldn't tag unless he really had to. In the end he got worn down and so Asp had to take more time in the ring and his knee just couldn't hold up. He tried to get back into the ring but Chyna held him back causing the countout.
Main Event
APW Television title match
Jody Christmas and Colin Green battled to a no-contest
[Jody Christmas retained the APW Television title]
**this match was only a couple minutes in when the Strong Side Assassins led by Jessica Hatch hit the ring and attacked both men, probably under Hatch's instructions to damage Uriah's top 2 challengers. As they beat them down in the ring, Darren Michaels came down with a steel chair. He had the opportunity to catch the SSA by surprise but instead he remained outside the ring and allowed the SSA to lay the boots to his new protege Christmas as well as Green.

Prior to the match Chris Lyon, the England sisters and Duncum introduced Angelo Mosca as their most recent addition to the group. It was Mosca who made an unadvertised run-in last card and cost the Destroyer the heavyweight title to Chris Lyon.
This match was power v power, brawling v brawling. Riggs had a harder time standing toe to toe with their opponents then did the bigger Rodgers. However, it became apparent that the Roughnecks were barely hanging on to their titles, especially when you add in some timely interference from Corrie England at ringside. In the end the champs seemed to instigate a 4-way brawl outisde the ring that saw both teams counted out.
Double countout at 8:51

RCW Heavyweight Championship Match
Lumberjack Match
The Destroyer (champion), 252 pounds, parts unknown
V
Chris Lyon, 235 pounds, Winnipeg, Manitoba
First couple minutes saw both men wrestling carefully, and countering many of each other’s moves. The champ takes over and is all over Lyon with a swinging neckbreaker and a Samoan drop but can’t put Lyon away. Lyon takes advantage of the situation and muscles Destroyer out of the ring on the rulebreaker side. Pat Patterson, Bounty Hunter, Nacho Berrera, Cuban Assassin, and Tom Stone take liberties with Destroyer until Bonecrusher, J.D. Miller, Keith Hart, Ray Stevens, and Jake Milliman come over and resuce him. Back inside Lyon controls the action. Unable to put the champ away he tries to throw Destroyer back to the rulebreakers, but its reversed and Destroyer sends Lyon out instead to the fan favorites. Inexplicably Lyon decides to try and take everyone on and is punching and kicking for all he’s worth to not have to re-enter the ring. Finally the rulebreakers also joined the fray and we had an 11 man brawl, which obviously acted as a distraction to the ref. Then Big Bad Bobby Duncum came out and things started to look bleaker then ever as Duncum started to pound away at the fan favorites. While this was going on suddenly a new man entered the ring from out of the crowd. The fans went nuts, booing and jeering the very recognizable Angelo Mosca. Mosca attaced Destroyer from behind, giving him a powerbomb. Lyon got back into the ring while Mosca faded away. Lyon locks on the Boston crab but somehow Destroyer managed to survive over a minute in the hold before reaching the ropes. Lyon though wasn’t done and nailed the champ with two successive slingshot suplexes, and the fans were rioting in the aisles as the referee Wyatt Hall laid down the 1, 2, 3, NEW CHAMP!
Chris Lyon pinned The Destroyer after a slingshot suplex in 0:17:48.
[Chris Lyon won the RCW Heavyweight Championship]

All the evidence and files had been lost in the flood, so the only clue the team has is the word "Jones" that the lead detective wrote on the wall just before he drowned. Meanwhile, Reid meets up with an old rival as he continues to struggle with the aftermath of being held hostage.

River City Wrestling #105
Winnipeg Convention Cente, Winnipeg, MB
Finish from last week's show after we ran out of time;
Bobby Duncum charges the ring and attacks the Destroyer, getting Chris Lyon disqualified. Lyon and Duncum go to work on the champ and then begin to unmask him. They have the mask half off when Mike Valiant hit the ring wielding a crutch, obviously his knee still injured. He managed to knock Lyon down but was then delivered a stiff lariat by Duncum. The big Texan went to work on Valiant with a series of boots to the injured knee until Destroyer recovered and rolled up Duncum with a flying crucifix, and then rolled him out of the ring. Destroyer pulled his mask back down and picked up the crutch daring Duncum to come back in the ring. Instead the big Texan distracted the Destroyer while the England sisters who had just come down from the back resuced Chris Lyon pulling him to safety.
Duncum and Destroyer point back and forth as the villians retreat.
The fans had a hard time believing it but Destroyer and Valiant now appeared to have a common cause; hatred of Chris Lyon.

Judy Martin defeated Jeannie Rahib by pinfall after a flying bodypress at 5:41

Stevens overcomes the dirty tactics of Pat Patterson and comes out the clean winner. What's next for the crippler? Will he attempt once again to try and get a fair match out of TV champion the Bounty Hunter, will he enter his name into the fray competing for the Destroyer's heavyweight title, or is he not done with his arch-nemesis Pat Patterson?

Lacey & Rain defeated Deanna Conda & Annie Social
**Strong Side Assassins come to the ring. They tell the crowd that their manager Jessica Hatch is still recovering from the injuries she sustained from Darren Michaels, and vow revenge. They challenge Jody Christmas and Darren Michaels to a tag match tonight. They also tell the fans that heavyweight champ Uriah is so despondent after the attack on Hatch that he is missing and has not been seen in two weeks.
Moses Luke defeated Ivan
Pose-Off; Amy Bates versus Nikki Crawford (judges Crystal Cunard, April Hunter, Chyna)
In a fair contest the unpopular Crawford probably should have won this but she pissed off the former champ Cunard by calling her and Bates pipsqueaks and pipecleaners unlike herself and April Hunter and Chuyna So of course that made Cunard vote for Bates, and Hunter for Crawford. When it was Chyna's turn to cast the deciding vote she basically said the only reason she returned to APW was to get back her former husband Asp Evergreen, not to judge beauty contests; and she promptly walked away. Mayhem and arguments ensued and Crawford ended up attacking Bates from behind who had to be saved by Cunard.
Hardcore Match; Steve Corino defeated Donnie DiCaprio by pinfall
**weeks of frustration built up in DiCaprio so that after losing his match against Corino who then refused to mentor him caused DiCaprio to drop to his knees and start to cry in the middle of the ring. Corino looked taken aback and walked away.
Hour #2
**Eddie Chavez comes to the ring. He calls Chyna out to the ring. He tells her that she broke up his and Asp's friendship once and he wasn't going to stand by and let her do it again. Asp is home recovering from his knee injury last week. Chyna says if Chavez really cared for Asp and not just the titles he would have thrown in the towel earlier instead of letting Asp to have his knee injured. Before Chavez can reply the duo of Rulon Gardner and Raymond Bingham come to the ring. They ridicule Asp which sets Chyna off so that when they challenge the duo to put up the tag titles in Asp's absence she agrees. Chavez says its not going to happen and the 4 men argue until Jack Larkin comes to the ring. Larkin says games with the title belts won't happen in APW and the titles will not be defended in that manner. However, he insists the 4 of them settle it tonight.
#1 Contenders match: Television Title
Collin Green defeated Gregor Wynn
**Ivan tried to attack Green after the match but Green managed to mule kick him in the crotch and get away.
Rulon Gardner & Raymond Bingham defeated Eddie Chavez & Chyna by pinfall
**Chavez and Chyna were just too dysfunctional as a team. In the end Chyna waited too long to try and break up a pin attempt after a double team on Chavez and failed to get there in time. Chavez and Chyna exchanged more harsh words after the match.
Jody Christmas & Darren Michaels defeated Strong Side Assassins (Thaddeus Coleman & Ricky Foley) by pinfall
**Michaels cunning and experience was the deciding factor in the main event.
