He's informed that he will being given a second chance. He must earn a reprieve from Hell by helping others. He then wakes up in the hospital, after an apparent "near death" experience. In each episode, Matrix meets a new "guide" from the world beyond, and is given a new assignment, much in the manner of an unwilling guardian angel. Usually his guides give him little or no useful information about the job to come, and his methods of handling the cases are sometimes as brutal as the rules of his old profession, but he gets the job done.

She recommends that Frank and Lee hire a mysterious European woman to lead them through fantasies intended to unlock passion and help them heal. At the same time this is going on, the police are investigating a series of stabbings: as corpses pile up, we wonder if Frank's temper may be behind this; or perhaps it's Eric, a cross-dressing neighbor and friend of Lee's; it may even be the European woman, who keeps popping up with new fantasies.

"Tribute to Lucky 7"The first known pirate TV station in the USA was put on the air one weekend circa 1977 in Syracuse NY on channel 7. It was identified as "Lucky 7" and broadcast episodes of Star Trek and pornographic movies. The transmitter was reported to have been built using parts from a guitar amplifier. No mention of what was used to source the video and audio, but the VCR as a consumer product had just hit the market. Soon after, a short article about this station was published in the New York Times.

The president of Civic TV Channel 83, Max Renn, is always looking for new cheap and erotic movies for his station. When his employee, Harlan, decodes a pirate video broadcast showing torture, murder, and mutilation called "Videodrome," Max becomes obsessed to get this series for his channel. He contacts his supplier, Masha, and asks her to find the party responsible for the transmission. A couple of days later, Masha tells that "Videodrome" is real snuff movies. Max's sado-masochistic girlfriend Nicki Brand decides to travel to Pittsburgh, where the show is based, to audition. Max investigates further, and through a video by the media prophet Brian O'Blivion, he learns that that TV screens are the retina of the mind's eye, being part of the brain, and "Videodrome" transmissions create a brain tumor in the viewer, changing the reality through video hallucination.

Elsewhere, the corrupt dean of Faber, Vernon Mormer, teams up with the stuffy and wealthy members of Delta's rival, Omega House, to plan another way to get the riotous members of Delta expelled from campus due to their shenanigans from the previous year (see movie "Animal House")

Over a year has passed since the events of Day One. President David Palmer is fishing with his son in Oregon when he learns of an emergency. He is taken to his underground bunker, where he learns that a Middle Eastern terrorist group known as Second Wave is planning to set off a nuclear bomb in Los Angeles sometime that day. At CTU, George Mason is ordered to contact Jack Bauer, who may be able to provide a lead to the terrorists. Jack has been out of commission since the death of his wife. He is also estranged from his daughter Kim, who is now working as an au pair. He isn't interested in returning to work, but changes his mind when Palmer personally requests his help. Kim overhears her boss abusing his wife, so she locks herself and their little girl in the bedroom. Gary forces his way in and attacks Megan. A young girl named Marie is marrying a man who may have connections to the leader of the terrorist group. At CTU, Jack learns that the key to finding the bomb rests with a group of American terrorists whom he infiltrated once before.

Jack works to establish his cover with a small group of domestic terrorists. He learns that their target hits very close to home. Kim takes Megan and runs from the house, but Gary pursues them. Palmer and Eric disagree over how to deal with the media during the nuclear threat.

Jack warns Lynne about the impending bombing of CTU, but her efforts to alert Palmer are sabotaged by Eric, who has his own agenda. George locates the warehouse where the nuclear bomb was built, but his discovery results in an unexpected tragedy. Kim takes Megan to CTU, believing that it is the safest place for both of them.

George returns to CTU where he orders the medics to revive a badly injured Paula, who has vital information. Palmer comes down hard on Eric for his deception. Kim takes Megan to the hospital, but the staff accuses her of abuse. Jack locates the leader of the American terrorist cell. He learns that the woman who gave them inside information on CTU is an old enemy.

"24" 2.05 - "Day 2 12:00pm-1:00pm" (2002)
George refuses to allow Jack to assist in Nina's interrogation. Jack resorts to blackmail to change George's mind. Palmer and Stanton meet with a Middle Eastern ambassador who may be in league with Second Wave. Tony visits the Warner home and questions Reza about his possible connection with Syed Ali.

Jack begins his interrogation of Nina and pushes all boundaries in order to force her to divulge the name of her contact. Palmer is surprised and suspicious when his ex wife Sherry returns and claims to have information about a conspiracy against him from within his own administration. Kim and Miguel plan to kidnap Megan from the hospital in order to take her out of LA and away from the nuclear threat.

"24" 2.07 - "Day 2: 2:00pm-3:00pm" (2002)
Jack forces Nina to help with a sting operation against her contact in the hopes that he can lead them to the bomb.After Reza and Bob are taken back to CTU for further questioning, Kate pursues her own investigation.Palmer and Mike try to gage Stanton's loyalty when they investigate the chopper crash.George has a final conversation with his son.Kim and Miguel try to escape Los Angeles when they are stopped by a California Highway Patrol officer.

"24" 2.08 - "Day 2: 3:00pm-4:00pm" (2002)
Kim and Miguel are arrested and the police plan to take them back to LA. Tony questions Bob Warner at CTU and learns more about his government connections. Palmer discovers a traitor in his ranks when the journalist whom he was holding is set free. Nina pulls a deadly countermove, setting herself up as the main player in the search to locate the bomb.

"24" 2.09 - "Day 2: 4:00pm-5:00pm" (2003)
George pits Bob against Reza in hopes of learning which one is working with Second Wave. Sherry and Lynne clash over Palmer's speech to the press. Kate is interrogated by Syed Ali, who believes she knows too much about the bomb. Jack and Nina fight off a group of renegade soldiers while waiting to be rescued from the crash site. They nearly escape when Nina takes Jack hostage and demands to speak to the President.

"24" 2.10 - "Day 2: 5:00pm-6:00pm" (2003)
Two traitors are uncovered. One is the mole in the Palmer administration who is working with Stanton. The other is the member of the Warner family who helped Syed Ali to bring the bomb into the country. Jack learns of Ali's location and tries to rescue Kate. Kim and Miguel hatch an escape plan to stay out of LA, but the results are disastrous.

"24" 2.11 - "Day 2: 6:00pm-7:00pm" (2003)
Kate helps Jack to locate and identify Syed Ali.Palmer places Stanton under arrest, but he won't break. Palmer realizes he must go to extremes to make Stanton talk.CTU discovers that Marie has killed Reza and the two agents sent to accompany him.Kim hits her low point of the day when she encounters a cougar in the woods.

Jack engages in a brutal contest of wills with Syed Ali. George questions Bob Warner to learn more about Marie's motivations for helping the terrorists. Kim is rescued by a mysterious hunter who offers her asylum. Lynne receives a dire warning from Sherry.

Brad Hammond comes over from Division to investigate the situation at CTU Los Angeles, and George and Tony convince him to let them maintain operations there.Jack and his men prepare for a confrontation with Stanton's renegade soldiers as they converge on the bomb.Kim becomes suspicious of her host, but is forced to stay because of her status with the police.Stanton finally breaks down and gives Palmer some unpleasant news.President Palmer invites Sherry to help out in the investigation of Roger Stanton.

Jack and Kate try to break Marie's resolve so they can learn the location of the bomb. Palmer confronts his ex wife with the information that Stanton gave them. George finally steps down as director of CTU and hands the position over to Tony. Kim discovers her host's deception.

Palmer, Mike and Lynne discuss various ways to dispose of the ticking bomb. They conclude that the desert is the best place to set it off. Jack determines that one man must pilot the plane carrying the bomb. He chooses to fly the plane himself and bids a tearful goodbye to his daughter. Tony and Michelle become suspicious of a Middle Eastern diplomat who is asking questions about the evidence against Syed Ali. Palmer departs for Los Angeles so he can be on hand when news of the nuclear bomb reaches the public.

Jack and Michelle question Syed Ali, who claims that the audio recordings are false. Palmer prepares to wage war against the three countries who were involved in the nuclear strike. Kim gets caught in a hostage situation. Jack is contacted by a man who wants to exchange information for Kate Warner.

Jack meets with the surviving Coral Snake Commando, who demands Kate Warner in exchange for evidence about the recordings. Tony and Carrie spy on Michelle when he suspects that she is working with Jack. Mike and the Vice-President turn up the pressure on Palmer, when he expresses his doubts about the impending war.

Jack, Kate and Wallace fight to escape from a deadly band of commandos. Palmer decides to take a stronger stance against the civil unrest resulting from the bomb explosion. Tony's trust in Michelle is broken when he suspects her of betraying him. Kim's worries seem to be over when she learns the charges against her have been dropped.

Jack is captured and tortured by men who want the chip. Kate and Yusuf run into a group of angry rednecks before they can deliver the chip to CTU. Tony and Michelle share a tender moment after her brother flips out. Palmer leans towards holding off the attacks, while Lynne discovers a secret operation that the Vice-President is planning against Palmer.

Jack finds an ally who may help him escape from Kingsley's men. Lynne meets with foul play before she can warn Palmer of the conspiracy against him. Chappelle interferes with Tony's efforts to assist Jack. Kate offers her captors money in exchange for the chip.

Tony and Michelle take Chappelle out of action when he hinders their efforts to help Jack

When Jack hits a dead end with his lead, he realizes he must persuade Sherry to help him get evidence against Kingsley.Things go awry at CTU when Division becomes suspicious of Chappelle's absence. Michelle goes off-site to work with Jack.Mike and Prescott ask Palmer to aid them as the bombers get closer to their targets.

Jack uses Sherry to lure Kingsley out into the open, but Kingsley suspects a set-up and lays his own trap.Kate and her father have a final, ominous conversation with Marie.Palmer's attorney finds evidence involving Kingsley and convinces Mike to release Palmer from custody. Palmer and his cabinet gather to watch as Sherry meets with Kingsley. Mike orders Chappelle to reinstate Tony and Michelle.Jack sends Sherry in for the meeting with Kingsley, but his mounting heart troubles cause problems for him at the crucial moment.

"24" 2.01 - "Day 2: 8:00am-9:00am" (2002)
Over a year has passed since the events of Day One. President David Palmer is fishing with his son in Oregon when he learns of an emergency. He is taken to his underground bunker, where he learns that a Middle Eastern terrorist group known as Second Wave is planning to set off a nuclear bomb in Los Angeles sometime that day. At CTU, George Mason is ordered to contact Jack Bauer, who may be able to provide a lead to the terrorists. Jack has been out of commission since the death of his wife. He is also estranged from his daughter Kim, who is now working as an au pair. He isn't interested in returning to work, but changes his mind when Palmer personally requests his help. Kim overhears her boss abusing his wife, so she locks herself and their little girl in the bedroom. Gary forces his way in and attacks Megan. A young girl named Marie is marrying a man who may have connections to the leader of the terrorist group. At CTU, Jack learns that the key to finding the bomb rests with a group of American terrorists whom he infiltrated once before.

Jack works to establish his cover with a small group of domestic terrorists. He learns that their target hits very close to home. Kim takes Megan and runs from the house, but Gary pursues them. Palmer and Eric disagree over how to deal with the media during the nuclear threat.

Jack warns Lynne about the impending bombing of CTU, but her efforts to alert Palmer are sabotaged by Eric, who has his own agenda. George locates the warehouse where the nuclear bomb was built, but his discovery results in an unexpected tragedy. Kim takes Megan to CTU, believing that it is the safest place for both of them.

George returns to CTU where he orders the medics to revive a badly injured Paula, who has vital information. Palmer comes down hard on Eric for his deception. Kim takes Megan to the hospital, but the staff accuses her of abuse. Jack locates the leader of the American terrorist cell. He learns that the woman who gave them inside information on CTU is an old enemy.

George refuses to allow Jack to assist in Nina's interrogation. Jack resorts to blackmail to change George's mind. Palmer and Stanton meet with a Middle Eastern ambassador who may be in league with Second Wave. Tony visits the Warner home and questions Reza about his possible connection with Syed Ali.

Jack begins his interrogation of Nina and pushes all boundaries in order to force her to divulge the name of her contact. Palmer is surprised and suspicious when his ex wife Sherry returns and claims to have information about a conspiracy against him from within his own administration. Kim and Miguel plan to kidnap Megan from the hospital in order to take her out of LA and away from the nuclear threat.

Jack forces Nina to help with a sting operation against her contact in the hopes that he can lead them to the bomb.After Reza and Bob are taken back to CTU for further questioning, Kate pursues her own investigation.Palmer and Mike try to gage Stanton's loyalty when they investigate the chopper crash.George has a final conversation with his son.Kim and Miguel try to escape Los Angeles when they are stopped by a California Highway Patrol officer.

"24" 2.08 - "Day 2: 3:00pm-4:00pm" (2002)
Kim and Miguel are arrested and the police plan to take them back to LA. Tony questions Bob Warner at CTU and learns more about his government connections. Palmer discovers a traitor in his ranks when the journalist whom he was holding is set free. Nina pulls a deadly countermove, setting herself up as the main player in the search to locate the bomb.

George pits Bob against Reza in hopes of learning which one is working with Second Wave. Sherry and Lynne clash over Palmer's speech to the press. Kate is interrogated by Syed Ali, who believes she knows too much about the bomb. Jack and Nina fight off a group of renegade soldiers while waiting to be rescued from the crash site. They nearly escape when Nina takes Jack hostage and demands to speak to the President.

"24" 2.10 - "Day 2: 5:00pm-6:00pm" (2003)
Two traitors are uncovered. One is the mole in the Palmer administration who is working with Stanton. The other is the member of the Warner family who helped Syed Ali to bring the bomb into the country. Jack learns of Ali's location and tries to rescue Kate. Kim and Miguel hatch an escape plan to stay out of LA, but the results are disastrous.

"24" 2.11 - "Day 2: 6:00pm-7:00pm" (2003)
Kate helps Jack to locate and identify Syed Ali.Palmer places Stanton under arrest, but he won't break. Palmer realizes he must go to extremes to make Stanton talk.CTU discovers that Marie has killed Reza and the two agents sent to accompany him.Kim hits her low point of the day when she encounters a cougar in the woods.

Jack engages in a brutal contest of wills with Syed Ali. George questions Bob Warner to learn more about Marie's motivations for helping the terrorists. Kim is rescued by a mysterious hunter who offers her asylum. Lynne receives a dire warning from Sherry.

Brad Hammond comes over from Division to investigate the situation at CTU Los Angeles, and George and Tony convince him to let them maintain operations there.Jack and his men prepare for a confrontation with Stanton's renegade soldiers as they converge on the bomb.Kim becomes suspicious of her host, but is forced to stay because of her status with the police.Stanton finally breaks down and gives Palmer some unpleasant news.President Palmer invites Sherry to help out in the investigation of Roger Stanton.

Jack and Kate try to break Marie's resolve so they can learn the location of the bomb. Palmer confronts his ex wife with the information that Stanton gave them. George finally steps down as director of CTU and hands the position over to Tony. Kim discovers her host's deception.

Palmer, Mike and Lynne discuss various ways to dispose of the ticking bomb. They conclude that the desert is the best place to set it off. Jack determines that one man must pilot the plane carrying the bomb. He chooses to fly the plane himself and bids a tearful goodbye to his daughter. Tony and Michelle become suspicious of a Middle Eastern diplomat who is asking questions about the evidence against Syed Ali. Palmer departs for Los Angeles so he can be on hand when news of the nuclear bomb reaches the public.

Jack and Michelle question Syed Ali, who claims that the audio recordings are false. Palmer prepares to wage war against the three countries who were involved in the nuclear strike. Kim gets caught in a hostage situation. Jack is contacted by a man who wants to exchange information for Kate Warner.

Jack meets with the surviving Coral Snake Commando, who demands Kate Warner in exchange for evidence about the recordings. Tony and Carrie spy on Michelle when he suspects that she is working with Jack. Mike and the Vice-President turn up the pressure on Palmer, when he expresses his doubts about the impending war.

Jack, Kate and Wallace fight to escape from a deadly band of commandos. Palmer decides to take a stronger stance against the civil unrest resulting from the bomb explosion. Palmer leans towards holding off the attacks, while Lynne discovers a secret operation that the Vice-President is planning against Palmer.

Michelle goes off-site to work with Jack.Mike and Prescott ask Palmer to aid them as the bombers get closer to their targets.

Jack uses Sherry to lure Kingsley out into the open, but Kingsley suspects a set-up and lays his own trap.Kate and her father have a final, ominous conversation with Marie.Palmer's attorney finds evidence involving Kingsley and convinces Mike to release Palmer from custody. Palmer and his cabinet gather to watch as Sherry meets with Kingsley. Mike orders Chappelle to reinstate Tony and Michelle.Jack sends Sherry in for the meeting with Kingsley, but his mounting heart troubles cause problems for him at the crucial moment.

On the next morning, the young couple sees John in another car with a family, and while trying to advise the driver that the man is dangerous, they have an accident. While walking on the road, they find the whole family stabbed in the car, and John sees that the driver is still alive. He drives to a restaurant seeking for help, but the police blame Jim and Grace to the murder and send them to the police station. However, John kills the policemen and pursues the couple, playing a tragic and violent mouse and cat game with Grace and Jim.

In this episode we find out that Simon Peller has won another term for the public telection system. The satellite signals suddenly go haywire, interrupting broadcasts on all the networks. Television is not the only area affected. Even the blank service television is not working. An ultimatum is issued: if Peller does not reverse his policy of imprisoning all blanks, unregistered citizens, the central computer system will be crashed. Bryce and Theora hatch a plan to find the hackers.

In this episode the Hackers are disrupting network transmissions by hacking into satellite transmissions with their own high-power signals. Cheviot assigns Bryce the task of tracking down the pirates. Bryce discovers the source of the signal at the Academy of Computer Sciences. He does not want to expose his Alma master. Instead he says the source is at Blank Reg's Big Time Television. The Metrocops arrest Blank Reg. Dominique pleads with Edison to help clear her husband's name.

Beggars and Choosers 1.04 - "The Hat Trick" (1999)
Rob & Cecile continue to discuss the notion of having another baby. Honey Yang, the producer of LGT's tabloid news series, has heard that E.L. was with a hooker the night of he fell into a coma and is digging for more dirt. Rob brushes off the rumor, but later corners Malcolm for more details. Malcolm reveals that the hooker was actually his friend Larry, a transvestite who goes by the drag name Lola. The LAPD and FBI continue to believe that Rob engineered Kendall Gifford's disappearance to gain bigger ratings for The Mountainmen. A Gloria Allred-like lawyer takes on Sandra Cassandra's sexual harassment case against Malcolm and LGT. In a meeting about settling or continuing to fight the charges, L.L. and Rob make a wager: if, when E.L. emerges from his coma, he decides to settle the case, Rob will resign, but if he decides to fight on, LGT will put their full legal muscle to fight the charges. Lori keeps pursuing the Nicky Krasnakov miniseries idea, making promises along the way that she knows she can't keep. Rob lunches with Bea Arthur, who pitches the idea of a TV movie about Ethel Merman, with herself in the lead role. Parker Meridien uses information he got from his girlfriend, Audrey (Rob's daughter), to make fun of Rob on his show Parker's Pals.

Blipverts are high speed commercials condensed into a few seconds and embed themselves into the viewers mind. Unfortunately, a few viewers have exploded while watching them. Network 23 star reporter, Edison Carter, discovers that the Network executive Ned Grossberg is aware of the problem and is covering up the issues. Ned decides to replace Edison with a computer stimulated version of Edison. Bryce Lynch creates this computer simulated version, who calls himself Max Headroom.

There is an illegal sport called raking. Individual use these motorized skate board for a deadly match. Theora receives a phone call from her sister-in-law Winnie. Winnie is upset because Theora's brother, Shawn, has taken up the sport of raking. Theora sets Edison onto the case. Edison wants to keep this sport outlawed because it is so dangerous. Zik Zak is wanting to legalize it and sponsor it.

After questioning her, he discovers his credit and his ID no longer work. He can not go home. He can not go to Network 23.

In this episode, a news package broker contacts Network 23. They offer an exclusive access to a terrorist group called White Brigade for a premium price. Cheviot refuses the offer; he does not want to be bought by a terrorist group. The next day the group blows up an entire city block, only rival network Breakthru Television has the coverage. Network 23's board or directors is anger over Breakthru's sudden ratings surge. The networks are all in the middle of a global rating sweep. Edison Carter wants to expose this sinister link between Brakkthru and White Brigade.

When he gets to work in the morning, Rob and his staff scramble to create scripts for The Mountainmen, while detectives snoop around LGT, investigating the disappearance of Kendall Gifford. Rob and his staff try to untangle the sticky web created by Sandra Cassandra's sexual harassment lawsuit against Casting VP Malcolm Laffley and LGT, and Parker Meridian's demand for a top-dollar renegotiation. Meanwhile, Development VP Lori Volpone proposes a miniseries on the life of Nikolai 'the Knife' Krasnakov, the son of a Russian mob boss--a risk to be sure, but a possible ratings booster, nonetheless. As if the pressure on Rob is not enough, his wife Cecile adds to it when she announces that she wants to have another baby, even though they are both past 40. While shooting is continuously interrupted by Yolanda's Tourette's Syndrome on the set of Puerto Vallarta, Lori is off with super agent Brad Advail, negotiating a story-rights deal with the Russian gangster. After going head to head with E.L.'s trophy wife, Lydia Luddin, Rob receives the next Mountainmen script, anonymously delivered by the missing Kendall Gifford. Sure, the script is inflammatory, advocating tax revolution, but it is still more interesting than the rehashed, predictable material provided by the stand-in scribes, and Rob decides to run with it, because the ratings, after all, can only go up. The relentless detectives are not considering scripts or ratings though, and call the FBI in for help. When she returns, Lori's answering machine yields a haunting, cryptic message to cease and desist when it comes to the story of the Knife. But Rob is doing much better at home, where, after secretly flushing Cecile's birth control pills down the toilet, he is working on giving her the baby she wants.
