Jan is upset when her friend, Lucy Winters, sends a birthday party invitation but accidentally addresses it to Marcia. Tired of being the middle blond girl of the family, Jan tries to alter her appearance by buying a black wig, which she intends to wear to Lucy's upcoming birthday party. Meanwhile, Peter is horrified that Margie will be attending the party, a girl who has a major crush on him.

Peter, Jan and Cindy rush home from school with the news that they've joined the glee club. Feeling left out, Mike and Carol encourage Bobby to test his musical ability and they get him a set of drums. The family is soon driven up the wall, with Bobby's constant "practicing." Meanwhile, Peter is made fun of for being in the glee club by his football teammates, calling him a "canary."

A violent criminal shoots a police officer outside his station and then goes on a rampage. A chase erupts through the streets ending with numerous wounded and dead. The criminal is captured and dragged into the station, because there is also a sniper shooting at the police, where he consequently dies. Did he die from his wounds or was he beaten to death by the cops?. His sister and a priest want to know the truth, and are determined to find it.

Brooklyn South 1.02 - "Life Under Castro" (1997)
The repercussions of Hopkins' death (the violent criminal from the pilot) in the station continue as the Internal Affairs department investigate and Hopkins' sister brings in her own lawyer to find out who 'murdered' her brother.

Stanley plans to find out.
