It's St. Patrick's Day, and the CEO forces the office to work late because she won't leave. In addition, Michael unsuccessfully tries to suck up to his new boss, and Andy and Erin's first date is delayed because Erin is sick.

Movie:"A Prayer For the Dying" (1987)

Martin Fallon is an IRA bomber who tries to blow up a troop truck but instead kills a bus load of school children. He loses heart and quits the movement and goes to London trying to leave the U.K. and start a new life. The IRA wants him back (he knows too much) and the local crime boss, Meehan, will only help him if he performs one last hit, on a rival crime boss. When Fallon does perform the hit, he is seen by a catholic priest. He refuses to kill an innocent again and must find a way to escape the police without killing the priest who can identify him.

Archie keeps a sick Edith so busy cooking for his big St. Patrick's Day party, that she doesn't get the chance to tell him that "hard work is hazardous to her health." When Archie finds out the truth about Edith's illness, he takes steps to make sure she will never "forget" to tell him again.

After Bart inadvertently becomes drunk at a St. Patrick's Day celebration, an old prohibition law banning drinking in Springfield is rediscovered and enforced. Desperate to keep alcohol in the city, Homer takes matters into his own hands.

Documentary: "Shamrock and Swastika" (2001)
This documentary is about the ill-fated collaboration between the Irish Republican Army and the German Secret Service during World War II. SS Colonel Dr. Edmund Veesenmayer (German Foreign Office) devised a plan to bring Ireland into war with England over control Ireland. Under the plan the IRA would organize resistance movements to the British occupation and rule over Northern Ireland while the Germans attacked Great Britain. This documentary also notes the involvement, in varying degrees, of many prominent Irish scholars and diplomats.

The Drew Carey Show 3.21 - "The Sex Drug" (1998)
Lewis confiscates a sex drug from DrugCo after nearly being attacked by several monkeys who had used it. The drug is accidentally spilled into a batch of green Buzz Beer being prepared for St. Patrick's Day. Everyone at the Warsaw inadvertently drinks the tainted beer with startling results. Drew prepares to be the sole witness in Mimi's "sexual harassment" case while under the influence of the sex drug.
