Sid wakes up from the coma.

On a day like any other, all of Earth is shocked with the arrival of large alien spacecraft that appear over major cities. The aliens themselves appear benign, offering to exchange their advanced technologies in return for replenishing their supplies. The aliens' spokesperson, Anna, is downright charming eventually focusing on news reporter Chad Decker as a means of seducing Earth's population. Earthlings are soon divided into two camps: those who welcome the Visitors with open arms and those, like Father Jack Landry, who see them as a threat. For FBI Agent Erica Evans, it's work as usual but as a single parent, she is concerned with her son Tyler's apparent obsession with the new arrivals. She also learns that the terrorist cell she has been investigating may have been made up of Visitors.

He is expecting a letter--he's worried his wife Jean at home is leaving him for another man ("She's probably off with some rodeo rider; she's a sucker for a 10-gallon hat!"). He wants to go home, but Henry refuses, stating Cowboy's wound isn't serious enough to merit a stateside ticket. Bad luck then follows Henry Blake like the seat of his pants: he gets shot at while golfing, his tent gets flattened by a driverless jeep, and the latrine explodes while he's inside. The Cowboy offers to fly Henry to Seoul and then threatens to shove him out! The letter finally arrives for Cowboy, assuring he is loved. Hawkeye and Trapper uses the radio to convince The Cowboy to spare Henry's life and come down, at which they succeed.

Divack makes Alex and Jack help a female fashion mogul raise enough money to stop her greedy ex-husband from buying her company out from under her, which doesn't do wonders for their engagement. Evan purchases a lucky chicken to assist him in picking out stocks. Chris begins dating a fashion model who works for the mogul's company. Divack punishes Donna by closing her trading account.

Commitment-phobic Kevin falls out of the comfort zone with Sarah after she pushes him to replace his bedraggled, cherished old bed with a new one, and he convinces himself that she's trying to smother him emotionally. Meanwhile, Jamie leaps outside all bounds of decency to win Cherie's sympathetic embrace with the lie that his mother died.
