Homicide: Life on the Street 6.12 - "Something Sacred (1)" (1998)
Kellerman is trying to find Lewis, who's disappeared since his suspension. Bayliss is on vacation. Stivers rotates into homicide and Kellerman isn't happy to see her. A priest is found murdered. Falsone attends a custody deposition hearing. A tape is delivered to Channel 11 that contains some startling information from a Swami about the priest's activities involving young boys. Munch and Kellerman seek out the two boys who were at the scene of the crime; meanwhile the other detectives seek out the Swami. Both are located, though the boys do not provide anything conclusive; they are held in protective custody. Kellerman searches for Lewis. Meanwhile, church members protest in front of the station house. Falsone gets his son for a weekend. Ballard and Gharty detain a corner kid who might be identifiable as one of three who had frightened a priest. Unfortunately, that priest (a monsignor) can't make a positive ID. Because of public pressure, the boys are released from custody to stay with Sister Attwood. They run away from her home and later the monsignor is found murdered.

The squad puts everything on hold to investigate the murder of Dawn Cofield, a college co-ed. The field of suspects is numerous including a drug runner, a professor and a classmate. At the top of the list is her boyfriend, Pup Clemmons, who just happens to be a rival of Stone's from his days in undercover work, but there's also a competitor of Pup who's on the list of suspects. Meanwhile, Sanchez is busy checking into Stone's junkie ex-girlfriend who keeps hanging around the station. To top it all off a tense standoff ends in violence and overwhelming upheaval

During the surveillance someone intrudes the lab who turns out to be Casey's former sensei Ty Bennett.''Meanwhile, Captain Awesome's perfect parents decide to pay Devon and Ellie a surprise visit to help them plan the wedding, and Emmett Milbarge introduces an "Employee of the Month" contest to the Buy More, but the employees start their own contest instead.
