After a young woman is murdered, the supsects found are close to her: Her current boyfriend, an artist struggling in the industry, and her ex-boyfriend, an Ivy League student who has a reputation as a Lothario. The investigation shows that it looks like both men did this, but Stone tries to focus it on the ex-boyfriend, although prosecuting him for the crime seems to be an exercise in futility.

Armus helps his old friend Humphrey, now a petty thief, stop an assassination attempt. Meanwhile Cedric runs into problems at a convent while recuperating from a snakebite, and Sir Thomas must entertain Elizabeth's boring son and daughter at the castle.

Eddie receives his report card. Carl looks at it and finds out he got straight A's. This makes Eddie feel smart and Carl proud. Later, Eddie's friend Rodney comes over revealing that he switched the real report card with a fake one. It's up to Eddie to tell Carl the truth.

Mac decides to investigate adoptions and asks the governor to send him someone to help him with the red tape. He sends Jill Bennett. She and Mac flirt and they kiss. Greg sees Laura with a co-worker and is jealous. Greg gives Abby a phony report that says the site for the TV station is better then where Gary wanted it. Ben tells Joshua that his ratings are slipping. Josh apologizes to Cathy and asks her to sing on his show again. Val plans the babies' christening. She asks Mac and Karen to be the godparent's. Val decides to name her daughter Elizabeth (Betsy) after Ben's mother.Lilimae's shoulder hurts, and so she goes to a few doctors' appointments, but it's nothing serious. Joshua tells Cathy that Lilimae's dying, so he can't move out. Sheila Fisher follows Val and the babies around. Harry's worried about her. They go to Val's and tell her they're moving, but will always love the babies. Val lets them say goodbye to the twins.

The yearly Dog River curling Bonspiel brings family strife to the LeRoys when Brent starts his own team rather than play on Oscar and Emma's team. Lacey finds herself in demand as a team member, but not for her curling skills. Davis gives Karen the job of guarding the trophy for the Bonspiel, the Clavet Cup, which turns out to be harder than she thought it would be.

A college requirement has Alex working at a crisis hotline center where he meets up with an old high school rival, James Jarrett. But the two need to work as one when a teenage girl calls in announcing she wants to kill herself.

T.J. Hooker 4.14 - "Outcall" (1985)
The shooting of a masseuse girl in Chinatown convinces Hooker that a Vietnamese crime mob is operating in the area and trying to take over the district's message parlours. With information from a Vietnamese girlfriend of Corrigan's, Romano goes undercover at the parlour in the middle of the trouble as an outcall driver, while Stacy works as one of the massage girls; but when Stacy's cover is roused, Hooker must race to save her.

A cop is gunned down on Xmas eve. Jerry Beck, the homicide cop given the job of hunting the killer, investigates some leads which bring him into contact with a group of white supremacy extremists. In addition to the racists, Beck also has to contend with an unhelpful FBI agent.
