Bill helps Dave overcome a fear of speaking when Dave has to do an introduction at a local broadcaster's function. Meanwhile, Matthew tries to learn how to small talk with guys from Joe.

Drew Carey Show 1.21 - "Drew Gets Motivated" (1996)
Winfred-Louder hires a motivational speaker in the hopes of increasing productivity and helping the store get out of its recent financial slump. The speaker, Tom, encourages Drew to come up with a great idea so that he will no longer be invisible to his bosses. Noting the store's stuffy image, he suggests making it seem more customer-friendly by hiring animal mascots. The board agrees, and has him work with advertising to produce a commercial featuring a bull and camel. The commercial is a rousing success. Mrs. Louder announces that he is hiring Drew as head of promotions and giving his old job to her nephew. Drew does not want to leave personnel, but has no choice. He must come up with more ideas every week or he will be fired. Drew struggles for another brainstorm, until finally suggesting that the animals make a personal appearance at the store. Unfortunately, they get loose from the elevator and invade the boardroom. Drew returns to his old job, where he helps Nora get some extra overtime so that she can afford to buy a lumberjack from a catalog.

Homicide: Life on the Street 3.07 - "The Last of the Watermen" (1994)
After uncovering the fact that an elderly woman's tongue was cut out, Kay decides it is time to take a vacation. She returns home and while she is there she looks into the murder of an environmentalist. The suspects include her brother, an ex-beau and their co-worker. Pembleton reluctantly becomes Felton's partner and they finish investigating the murder of the elderly woman. Munch is against having a television put in their bar.

Gerald Braun goes on trial for murdering his daughter's killer, and Bobby argues the execution was moral. Meanwhile, Eugene defends a 19-year-old accused of statutory rape, and Lindsay represents a bomber who wants to surrender after being a fugitive for 26 years.

When a shady character appears in the Jupiter Too, everyone is smart enough to steer clear of the sly little guy, except for Ty who is easy prey for the devil, a.k.a. "Mr. Tan." Ty signs a contract that promises him fame, power, and women, women, women! This is all in exchange for a payment that Mr. Tan, the broker on the deal, says they can discuss at a later date. Ty is suddenly transformed into the sexiest, most fearless mercenary in the entire universe, just as Morris Ty's smarter half, realizes exactly who Mr. Tan really is. But Ty is sucked into the sweltering underground sauna known as "Hell" before Morris can knock some sense into his fellow Homeboy.
