Jimmy realizes that the movie memorabilia he bought is fake, and has Joe help him sue the guy who sold it to him. Dave uses Lisa's idea to have members of the staff perform each others' performance review. Lisa gets mad at Dave because he didn't give her credit. Jimmy's lawsuit is going badly until he uses a secret phrase Joe knows that invariably causes judges to rule in your favor. After the staff shows their hatred of the peer performance reviews, Dave finally gives Lisa credit for the idea.

Drew Carey Show 2.22 - "Drew vs. Mimi, Part II" (1997)
Mr. Bradbury, the employee representative to the board of directors, is forced to retire after forty years on the job. Drew, Mimi and Larry are desperate to replace him, as the position comes with a substantial raise and lots of benefits and requires little actual work. Drew consults a book for tips on how to gain an edge in business, and manages to impress Wick and several other board members. Mimi finds Drew's book at the Warsaw and decides to use it to her advantage. The finalists meet with the board in the company dining room. Larry shows up late and acts completely disrespectful to everyone. Mimi and Drew seem to impress Mrs. Louder and the others, but soon slip up. A waiter picks a fight with Drew, and they get into a brawl. Drew tries to make up for his gaffe by learning magic tricks so that he will seem more likable. The board is delighted by his act, but Mrs. Louder announces that Larry has won the job. When Drew and Mimi confront him, he admits that he is sleeping with Mrs. Louder. He seems embarrassed and disgusted, but claims the job is worth it.

Homicide: Life on the Street 4.11 - "I've Got A Secret" (1996)
Lewis and Kellerman try to subdue a large man who's gone on a rampage. The large man is finally subdued and they find him digging up his mother. This case brings out some information about Meldrick's family, and he tries to see his brother, who doesn't want to see him. Kay tries to keep the identity of her new boyfriend a secret, mainly from John, which drives him crazy. Pembleton and Bayliss investigate the death of a man whose body is found in a car. Scheiner says he died from internal bleeding, not the gunshot wound to the groin he was treated for at an emergency room earlier that day. They discover that the doctor may have had a motive for doing a less than adequate job treating her patient.

The furor over Lindsay's demand for partnership continues. Bobby discovers that Lindsay's not the only associate looking for another job. Rebecca is involved in a car accident she believes is a scam. Rebecca and Jimmy go undercover to ferret out the guilty. Ellenor meets up with an old friend in the midst of a chimpanzee custody trial.

In the South of France, Frank and Joe are called upon to find a young girl who disappeared while treasure hunting, and come into contact with modern day pirates who have a yacht theft scam going on.

Steven, needing money to send his son to summer camp, books two new clients, including a very large woman he connects with through Jimmy. The rest of the guys visit a psychic and Brace is particularly affected by her reading. Later the four decide to service a client simultaneously and turn over their combined fee to Steve. Despite instituting a "no fluids or skin touching but the client's" rule, once at the client's place Brace is unwilling to participate. Steven is grateful for their gesture.
