But his job is in jeopardy when Mr. Carlson's mother gets her first hearing of the new format.

Upfront Updates

The Firm on NBC (starting January 2012) to get a look on Abaza TV.
At first Abaza showed no interest in this show but since the realization of the involvement in Alyson Feltes this has changed. Her incredible work on Canadian shows "Traders" and "the Associates" shows her keen sense of drama and wonderful character development. It is scheduled to air Sundays at 9:00pm CST.

(from NBC's press release, May 2011) Based on the blockbuster feature film and best-selling novel by world-renowned author John Grisham ("The Pelican Brief," "The Client"), "The Firm" continues the story of attorney Mitchell McDeere and his family 10 years after the events of the film and novel. As a young associate, McDeere brought down the prestigious Memphis law firm of Bendini, Lambert & Locke, which operated as a front for the Chicago mob -- and his life was never the same. After a difficult decade, which included a stay in the Federal Witness Protection program, Mitch and his family now emerge from isolation to reclaim their lives and their future -- only to find that past dangers are still lurking and new threats are everywhere. "The Firm" is produced by Entertainment One in association with Sony Pictures Television and Paramount Pictures. The executive producers are Grisham, Lukas Reiter ("Law & Order," "Boston Legal"), John Morayniss ("Haven," "Hung"), Michael Rosenberg ("Hung," "Skins") and Noreen Halpern ("Rookie Blue," "Hung").

Programming Note

High Incident has completed its run at 6:00pm weekdays. The police drama has been replaced by a pair of great old comedies, WKRP in Cincinnati and Welcome Back Kotter. The decision to go to two sit-coms was in part to allow some flexibility to this time slot in case of 6:30pm starts to sporting events.

Hour #1
Nikki Crawford defeated Trishelle Cantenella
**Jack Larkin announced that Matt Willig's arm is broken from last week and is out indefinetely. In his place a new #1 contenders match, a four corners match will happen tonight. Also, since heavyweight champion Uriah does not have an opponent for tonight and because he dared to chokeslam him last week, tonight Uriah would face not one man but 4 men at one time in a handi-cap match where he will have to beat each one of them. Oh, and the title is on the line!
Eddie Chavez (/w Jen England) defeated Ricky Foley (/w Grindhouse Barbie)
**Chavez beat one half of the tag champions cleanly
Thaddeus Coleman (/w Grindhouse Barbie) defeated Asp Evergreen (/w Jen England) by pinfall
**Evergreen was distracted when Jen England was attacked by Nikki Crawford at ringside. Apparently Crawford wasn't happy with England's part in her match last week against Grindhouse Barbie.
Heavyweight Title Match - Handi-Cap 4 on 1 Match
Uriah (/w Jessica Hatch) defeated Collin Green, Donnie DiCaprio, JD McKay, and Jack Hasse
[Uriah retained the Heavyweight Title]
**despite the odds Uriah just showed more dominance beating Larkin's 4 men one at a time.
Hour #2
Raymond Bingham defeated Rulon Gardner
**Gardner tried to play to the restless crowd, try to pump them up, but got only a flat reaction and some jeers. This distraction was enough to give the veteran Bingham all the advantage he needed.
APW Women's Championship Match
Tournament Final for the vacant title
Grindhouse Barbie defeated Amy Bates by pinfall
[Grindhouse Barbie wins the vacant APW Women's Title]
**Bates came down to the ring hobbled. She got on the mic and told the ref she had just been attacked backstage by Annie Social. She asked Barbie if she had put Social up to it but Barbie denied it. The match went on but despite a valiant effort by Bates in this battle of rookies Barbie went to the injured leg and soon had a title that was not well earned at all. She was joined in the ring by Thaddeus Coleman, and Ricky Foley the tag champions.
**We get a report and the very end of the attack on camera, as apparently Rulon Gardner went nuts in the dressing room and attacked fellow mates JD McKay, Jack Hasse, and Collin Green. He was finally downed by Moses Luke and Donnie DiCaprio.
Main Event
#1 Contenders Match - 4 Corners Match
Jody Christmas defeated Steve Corino, Gregor Wynn, and Moses Luke when he pinned Steve Corino
**Wynn and Luke got into it, and Ivan came to Wynn's rescue. One on one Christmas took Corino down with a brainbuster and took the win. This sets up a much anticipated champion versus champion showdown.

CW 2011-2012 Fall Upfront

Following is The CW’s 2011-2012 primetime schedule, a night-by-night breakdown

MONDAY

8 pm Gossip Girl (New Time)

9 pm Hart of Dixie (New Series)

>>> nope

TUESDAY

8 pm 90210 (New Night)

9 pm Ringer (New Series)

THURSDAY

8 pm The Vampire Diaries

9 pm The Secret Circle (New Series)

>>> more yuck..CW the network for fat goth chicks

FRIDAY

8 pm Nikita (New Night)

9 pm Supernatural

>>> nope and nope

And that's all. Well if CW had one show that I checked out it would be an improvement. I can't even do a schedule for them as there is not enough shows they had in the pipeline or cancelled to fill one out.

However, the following were shows that if they had picked up I might have actually checked out.

Raven (drama) (CW)

drama about the dc comics character, the daughter of a human and a demon who uses her skills to fight crime while trying to keep her dark internal elements in check

Rush (drama) (CW)

drama about undercover cops working the new york nightclub scene

...and that's it two shows.

There will not be a lot of CW on Abaza TV this year!

CBS 2011-2012 Fall Upfront

The new 2011-2012 schedule is as follows:

On Monday, the veteran How I Met Your Mother returns at 8:00 PM, to provide a strong lead-in for another young comedy, 2 BROKE GIRLS, at 8:30 PM. Ashton Kutcher joins the cast of the top-rated comedy, Two and a Half Men, at 9:00 PM, followed by returning freshman hits MIKE & Molly at 9:30 PM and Hawaii Five-0 at 10:00 PM.

>> Nothing that interests me here

On Tuesday, the #1-rated scripted series, NCIS, returns at 8:00 PM followed by the #2-rated scripted series, NCIS: LOS ANGELES, at 9:00 PM, providing a powerful lead-in to the new drama, UNFORGETTABLE, at 10:00 PM.

>> Unforgettable will get the PVR trial treatment. Poppy Montgomery is always good.

On Wednesday, SURVIVOR returns to the time period it improved 100% in viewers last season (8:00 PM). Criminal Minds, one of the top-rated dramas on television, is back at 9:00 PM, and is paired with CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION to form a strong two-hour crime drama block from 9:00-11:00 PM.

>>> I will miss Criminal Minds Suspect Behavior, but the move of CSI to this slot is interesting. I can see it retaining my attention, especially if they run promos during CM.
Criminal Minds will be on the Abaza schedule for sure.

On Thursday, CBS adds a new comedy and drama to the middle of the line-up, book-ended by two established hit series: television’s #1 comedy, The Big Bang Theory, returns at 8:00 PM, providing a strong lead-in to the new comedy, HOW TO BE A GENTLEMAN. J.J. Abrams’ new crime-thriller, PERSON OF INTEREST, joins the line-up at 9:00 PM, followed by the time-period winning drama, The Mentalist, as the night’s strong anchor at 10:00 PM.

>>> Big Bang Theory may end up on the schedule, but I dont watch it very often. How to be a gentleman was one of the pilots i was hoping they would pick up. So those two could end up on Abaza's schedule.

On Friday, CBS’s time-period winning, two-hour New York police drama block returns from 9:00-11:00 PM with CSI: NY and Blue Bloods. A unique new series opens the night at 8:00 PM with A GIFTED MAN, a medical drama with a spiritual twist.

>> Nothing here of interest.

On Saturday, original programming opens the night at 8:00 PM with Rules of Engagement, which will be paired with COMEDYTIME at 8:30 PM, featuring encore broadcasts of CBS comedies. The successful duo of CRIMETIME at 9:00 PM and the time period-winning 48 Hours Mystery at 10:00 PM closes the night.

>>  I enjoy Rules of Engagement.

Sunday night has an award-winning flare. The acclaimed and always top-rated 60 Minutes opens at 7:00 PM, followed by the seven-time Emmy Award winning series, THE Amazing Race, at 8:00 PM, leading into the critically acclaimed, award-winning drama, The Good Wife, at 9:00 PM. The always successful CSI: MIAMI caps the night at 10:00 PM.

>>> CSI Miami is an ok show, I will watch it on occasion. But it won't likely make the Abaza schedule, especially on a Sunday night that looks packed with other network's shows.
