The boys see a commercial with Sally Struthers about adopting Ethiopian children, and getting a sports watch. Instead of getting the watch, an actual Ethiopian child is sent to South Park. When the charity comes to pick up Starvin' Marvin at Cartman's house, they take Cartman instead. In South Park, Mephesto creates a species of mutant turkeys that terrorize the town, and everybody enters a "Braveheart"-style war with the turkeys.

Tour of Duty 2.04 - "True Grit" (1989)
Alex goes to see Dr. Seymour to do an article about battle fatigue just as Anderson and his men are prepared to leave for a mission. When they board McKay's helicopter, Ruiz gets violently ill and ends up not going. With his struggle with cowardice continuing he ends up going to see Seymour. The squad, meantime, has found a cache of weapons and ends up capturing two VC. The unit comes under fire. Martsen is sent back to the front, against Seymour's wishes, and nearly gets himself killed. Meanwhile Johnson has met up with a girl he met when he first came in country -- Ling. She is very pregnant and claims the child is his. Elsewhere, Goldman is upset over Alex spending all her time with McKay, and goes on a drunken binge that ends up inadvertently turning him into a hero.

Rick and A.J. undercover a smuggling ring and find themselves in the middle of a media storm. Each brother is made lucrative job offers and they decide to go their separate way.

A high roller who spent the night with a woman he had just met is found dead on the loading dock of the casino where he was staying. The investigation reveals that the victim won $10,000 in a pool game and was an assistant to a respected movie producer.

Two engaged scientists die in a fire and their mentally challenged neighbor is injured while trying to help them. The detectives discover that the couple was stabbed before the fire and this leads them to a disturbed and extremely jealous woman.

Midnight Caller 3.09 - "Home To Roost" (1990)
A friend of Jack's, a Vietnam War veteran, is accused by a Vietnamese man of being involved in the massacre of his village. Jack’s friend denies involvements and the Vietnamese kidnaps him. He wants Jack to air the “trial” of his friend on his show.

Michael investigates claims that a well connected HMO refused to treat a young leukemia patient because of the costs and finds that some of the employees were paid to keep their mouths shut.
