Eric pulls Donna's pants down in public and reveals her granny panties to everyone. So he tries to make up by giving her sexy panties on Valentine's Day. When Kelso finds out that Laurie cheated on him he realizes how Jackie must have felt when he cheated on her with Laurie; to Jackie's surprise he doesn't want her to feel sorry for him. Fez asks Caroline to go steady with him and only afterwards does he finds out that she has some strange ideas about romance.

All the detectives scramble to solve the case, when the mother, in a family on vacation, is murdered during a holdup. The husband has a hard time dealing with the reality of him not doing anything during the situation and Felton's indifference. When the suspects are found Howard is convinced that the youth who confesses to the murder didn't do it.

Mrs. Oleson is betting heavily too - with the church funds - for which she is treasurer. An aging former legend has to prove to Jonathan that he has been set up before all his friends lose their bets.

On Christmas Eve, Miss Beadle decides to surprise the schoolchildren by letting them go home early. This proves to be a grave mistake when the kids are trapped by a vicious blizzard outside, and none of them can find their way home. As Doc Baker turns the school into a makeshift hospital for frostbitten victims, the men must brave the extreme weather conditions and track down their loved ones.
