Hour#1
Moses Luke defeated Wes Shivers by pinfall
Shivers was able to defeat Donnie DiCaprio last week but could not get past his tag partner this week in this battle of big men
Rulon Gardner defeated Mentallo by submission to a half-Boston crab
Same way he beat Raymond Bingham last week. The fans again got restless watching Garner's ground and pound style. After the match as Gardner's hand was raised in victory he was attacked from behind by Bingham his opponent last week. Bingham pounded on Gardner but soon Garnder made a comeback. But by then Mentallo was back to his feet and he helped Bingham in a two on one beat down.
Women's Championship Semi-Final Match
Amy Bates defeated Annie Social by pinfall after a full nelson slam
Rookie Amy Bates showed she is more then just a pretty face and a fit body. She looked like a true warrior.
Women's Championship Semi-Final Match
Grindhouse Barbie defeated Nikki Crawford by pinfall
Crawford controlled most of the match but as soon as Barbie got her first advantage of the match her nemesis Jenn England came out to complain to the ref. That distraction just allowed Barbie more opportunity to cheat so England tried to trip up Barbie, but the whip to the ropes was reversed and England tripped up Crawford instead. This was the final touch needed for Barbie to come up with an improbable win.
Hour #2
Gregor Wynn defeated Steve Corino in a lumberjack match after a reverse DDT
Wynn continued to show his preference in allowing others to do his work for him the Russian spent more time taking the match outside and getting the lumberjacks involved then he did trying to beat Corino. However, in the end he showed an explosiveness and viciousness to nail a series of 4 moves in about 15 seconds and stun the crowd.
APW Tag Team Title Match
Thaddeus Coleman & Rickey Foley (w/ Grindhouse Barbie) defeated Asp Evergreen & Eddie Chavez (/w Jenn England) by disqualification
[Coleman & Foley retained the APW Tag Titles]
For the second time tonight England made a bad decision to step in to try and stop cheating and this one cost her team a chance to win the tag titles. After the bout Eddie was very upset with England but Asp defended her. We've seen a woman come between these two men before, that time it was Asp's ex-wife Chyna. But before we could see final resolution on that play out Coleman, Foley, and Barbie attacked their advercaries from behind.

Non-Title Match
First Blood Match
Matt Willig defeated Uriah by first blood
All others were banned from ringside, and the ref stayed out of the way as these two men battered and beat each other from pillar to post. When Uriah got a hold of the ringbell hammer the two rolled around and fought over it like a gun from a movie scene. Uriah kicked Willig hard in the crotch getting control of the hammer. But when he tried to bring down the hammer Willlig brough his forearm up to block the hammer. The two continued to brawl, and as if Willig's fight wasnt uphill enough he was now figting one handed, as it looked like his forearm was busted. Uriah began to beat Willig and throw him around the ring. He seemed to really be enjoying beating the living hell out of his opponent, and didnt notice when Willig took a chance to pull a turnbuckle cover off. A few seconds later Uriah was charging at Willig who stepped out of the way and put a drop toehold on the champ sending him head first into the exposed buckle. He came up bloodied and the ref awarded the match to Willig.
Uriah nailed Willig after the match though, and stepped on his hand. He made it obvious he was going to stomp on Willig's injured arm and do even more damage. But he paused as he saw his manager Jessica Hatch coming down to ringside. Before she could make it down to the ring though Summer Delin jumped her from behind, delivering a vicious bulldog on the floor. Uriah then left the ring and caught an unsuspecting Summer who was too busy taunting Hatch. Uriah prepared to chokeslam the girl, until owner Jack Larkin came out in a rare show of bravery waving him off and threatening suspensions and stripping of the title. It seemed to work as Uriah finally let go of Summer who collapsed to the ground holding her throat. But before Larkin could celebrate he was grabbed by the throat and the huge champion chokeslammed him on the hard ground.

CBS 2011-2012 Fall Upfront

The new 2011-2012 schedule is as follows:

On Monday, the veteran How I Met Your Mother returns at 8:00 PM, to provide a strong lead-in for another young comedy, 2 BROKE GIRLS, at 8:30 PM. Ashton Kutcher joins the cast of the top-rated comedy, Two and a Half Men, at 9:00 PM, followed by returning freshman hits MIKE & Molly at 9:30 PM and Hawaii Five-0 at 10:00 PM.

>> Nothing that interests me here

On Tuesday, the #1-rated scripted series, NCIS, returns at 8:00 PM followed by the #2-rated scripted series, NCIS: LOS ANGELES, at 9:00 PM, providing a powerful lead-in to the new drama, UNFORGETTABLE, at 10:00 PM.

>> Unforgettable will get the PVR trial treatment. Poppy Montgomery is always good.

On Wednesday, SURVIVOR returns to the time period it improved 100% in viewers last season (8:00 PM). Criminal Minds, one of the top-rated dramas on television, is back at 9:00 PM, and is paired with CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION to form a strong two-hour crime drama block from 9:00-11:00 PM.

>>> I will miss Criminal Minds Suspect Behavior, but the move of CSI to this slot is interesting. I can see it retaining my attention, especially if they run promos during CM.
Criminal Minds will be on the Abaza schedule for sure.

On Thursday, CBS adds a new comedy and drama to the middle of the line-up, book-ended by two established hit series: television’s #1 comedy, The Big Bang Theory, returns at 8:00 PM, providing a strong lead-in to the new comedy, HOW TO BE A GENTLEMAN. J.J. Abrams’ new crime-thriller, PERSON OF INTEREST, joins the line-up at 9:00 PM, followed by the time-period winning drama, The Mentalist, as the night’s strong anchor at 10:00 PM.

>>> Big Bang Theory may end up on the schedule, but I dont watch it very often. How to be a gentleman was one of the pilots i was hoping they would pick up. So those two could end up on Abaza's schedule.

On Friday, CBS’s time-period winning, two-hour New York police drama block returns from 9:00-11:00 PM with CSI: NY and Blue Bloods. A unique new series opens the night at 8:00 PM with A GIFTED MAN, a medical drama with a spiritual twist.

>> Nothing here of interest.

On Saturday, original programming opens the night at 8:00 PM with Rules of Engagement, which will be paired with COMEDYTIME at 8:30 PM, featuring encore broadcasts of CBS comedies. The successful duo of CRIMETIME at 9:00 PM and the time period-winning 48 Hours Mystery at 10:00 PM closes the night.

>>  I enjoy Rules of Engagement.

Sunday night has an award-winning flare. The acclaimed and always top-rated 60 Minutes opens at 7:00 PM, followed by the seven-time Emmy Award winning series, THE Amazing Race, at 8:00 PM, leading into the critically acclaimed, award-winning drama, The Good Wife, at 9:00 PM. The always successful CSI: MIAMI caps the night at 10:00 PM.

>>> CSI Miami is an ok show, I will watch it on occasion. But it won't likely make the Abaza schedule, especially on a Sunday night that looks packed with other network's shows.

Programming Note

Next week is the big week of Network Upfronts, where the television networks unveil their prime time schedules for next fall. What used to be a behind the scenes event for advertisers and affiliates has turned into an event much like the NFL or NBA draft with lots of intrigue, guessing, and waiting.

Abaza TV will provide a one hour analysis each night next week May 16th - 20th of the 5 networks upfronts. We will look at their schedule, come up with our own dream schedule of what we would have liked to have seen, and talk about which shows might be picked up by Abaza TV next year.

The dream schedules will be what shows we would pick from their returning shows, shows cancelled this past year, and their developmental shows.

The schedule of upfront analysis on Abaza TV will be as follows;
Mon May 16th; NBC
Tue May 17th; FOX
Wed May 18th; ABC
Thu May 19th; CBS
Fri May 20th; CW
