Janet tells Lilliemae that since Chip won't confess and Diana won't testify, they don't have enough to hold Chip and he'll be released the next day. Lilimae decides to try and talk to him one last time and brings Karen to talk to Diana. As they pull up, Chip has already been released and is talking to reporters. Lilliemae revs the gas and hits Chip with her car.

Gary is furious over the tabloid and barges into Val's. He and Jeff get in a fight and Mack breaks it up. Val overhears Chip telling Lilimae that Gary is cheating with Ciji (Chip is lying). Gary tells Abby they need to talk because they're hurting too many people. Abby promises to set aside time, but doesn't. Gary considers having a drink. Everything's going wrong with the details for Mack and Karen's wedding, so they sneak out of the rehearsal and elope to Las Vegas.

This of course puts Jack's deal in jeopardy when the company comes up short Jack is forced to take drastic measures and hire a legendary Derivatives trader Grant Janksy. After a difficult negotiation that saw Gardner/Ross shell out over 50 pounds of chocolate a week to Mr Jansky's habit, he agrees to come out of retirement. Susannah discovers an inconsistency in the search warrant that allows Cedric to go free. Marty covers his short positions in Navidyne, violating Sally's restricted list. An action that gets him in trouble, but ultimately saves the company from near bankruptcy. Grant moves into his new office and begins his derivative trading that earns the firm enough money to negotiate the Navidyne deal.
