Karen drives by the Fishers' house. She sees Sheila leaving, and Mac's men follow her. Karen sees Harry's inside, so she tells him she knows that Sheila doesn't really have the babies with her. Karen pleads with Harry and tells him that even if he didn't know the babies were stolen before, he knows now.

She's opening CJ's Bar & Grill at the Turtle Bay Resort. Coincidentally, Caroline Holden is already there filming a soap opera. Neely Capshaw (ex-Mrs. Buchannon) comes to Hawaii to stop the wedding. She wants Mitch back!

Elsewhere, Dr. Benton is caught between a life-saving surgery and the need to pick up his young son before his school locks up. Dr. Corday meets Dr. Lewis and struggles with the parents of a young boy with a rare and chronic disease who have grown discouraged with his long-term prognosis. Dr. Kovac is surprised when a beautiful French waitress shows up in the ER and asks for him.

While Dr. Benton and Carla adjust to their new baby, the strained relationship between Benton and Dr. Carter erupts into an ugly confrontation.

After Mac is out, they find a list in the file that has the name couples who illegally adopted babies, but there are no addresses on the list. One name on the list - Harry Fisher - rings a bell. The next day at work Karen tells Gary the babies are alive. Mac remembers that he and Ben were at the Fisher's house, and they had twins. Mac calls Karen and tells her to meet him there. Gary goes with her. Harry Fisher rushes home and tells his wife Sheila to pack, that they have to leave on a vacation now. Sheila says she won't leave because she hasn't picked up the prescription for the twin's ear infections.

A crack addict accuses Nurse Hathaway of injuring her newborn. Still on a cost-cutting rampage, Dr. Weaver tells Ross to find a research grant or look into private practice, then questions Jeanie's actions to save a patient. While Dr. Benton and Carla adjust to their new baby, the strained relationship between Benton and Dr. Carter erupts into an ugly confrontation.

Greg asks Laura to marry him, but she says she's already married. The police question Karen about Ackerman, while Mac goes to his office and finds Val's file. He sets the alarm off, and is arrested. After Mac is out, they find a list in the file that has the name couples who illegally adopted babies, but there are no addresses on the list. One name on the list - Harry Fisher - rings a bell. The next day at work Karen tells Gary the babies are alive. Mac remembers that he and Ben were at the Fisher's house, and they had twins. Mac calls Karen and tells her to meet him there. Gary goes with her. Harry Fisher rushes home and tells his wife Sheila to pack, that they have to leave on a vacation now. Sheila says she won't leave because she hasn't picked up the prescription for the twin's ear infections.
