Beyond these measures, Umma discovers something in the room after Pastor Nina's arrival that she doesn't know if it belongs to Pastor Nina or Janet. Either way, the discovery leads to both speculation by Appa and Umma of who it belongs to and concern for the change in perception they would have about that person. Meanwhile, it's Friday night, and Jung has nothing to do, so he invites himself over to Janet's to hang out with her and her friends who are planning to play a trivia game. Although Jung does get something more closely aligned to him as a person out of the evening, the events of the evening do make him wonder if he is stupid, something he's never thought about before.

Murdock makes the team go after their leader, dodgy colonel Mack Stoddard, who was recognized by the docs daughter and as Face discovers is a military adviser to Curaguay in South America, and even plans to overthrow the president for wanting to end the profitable civil war. There Hannibal realizes the daughter is actually a reporter, but soon she turns out to claim a different identity in every situation, such as CIA agent or Stoddards daughter; the doc is found and once ...

Blipverts are high speed commercials condensed into a few seconds and embed themselves into the viewers mind. Unfortunately, a few viewers have exploded while watching them. Network 23 star reporter, Edison Carter, discovers that the Network executive Ned Grossberg is aware of the problem and is covering up the issues. Ned decides to replace Edison with a computer stimulated version of Edison. Bryce Lynch creates this computer simulated version, who calls himself Max Headroom.

Johnson and Taylor go to check on Bridger only to be told that he is dead (he is faking it), while Stacy Bridger has arrived to find her father. Goldman is ordered to have Alex pull her story about the soldier who died in the opium parlor and Zeke runs into Stacy Bridger -- rescuing her from some Vietnamese punks. He takes her back to the hotel where Zeke ends up trying to save a suicidal marine deserter. The deserter has sold information to the VC and ends up killing himself. Meanwhile McKay sends Goldman on a "snipe" hunt so that he can be alone with Alex, and inadvertently exposes Goldman to serious danger.
