Jerry takes his car to a mechanic, who's fanatical about car care. Elaine meets Jerry to get the golf clubs out of his car, but the mechanic, distraught over Jerry's negligence, steals it. Kramer and Newman collect their bottles and cans and hit the road in a mail truck.

Kramer ditches the cans, bottles, mailbags and Newman in pursuit of Jerry's car. Newman finds a farmer's house, complete with the proverbial daughter. The mechanic throws the clubs and bag at Kramer's truck, allowing him to get away. Deena is happy to see that George is getting the help he needs. Peterman is stunned when he finally gets the clubs, "Elaine, I never knew Kennedy had such a temper."

The members of the gang, who are just starting at Roscoe High, are introduced: Lily, a musician, Travis, a semi-odd but charming outcast, Ray, a class clown, and Robbie, an independent guy who stands up for his thoughts. Lily has written a song, but she doesn't know if she can stand up in front of a crowd and play it. Ray tries out for the school play instead of soccer, and is worried about his father's reaction to his sexuality. Robbie and Travis both try out for Cougar radio, but Travis soon finds that it's not 'the voice of Roscoe High' and quits. Robbie soon does as well. They both have ideas for their own radio show, and they pull Lily and Ray along for the ride. Will they have what it takes to make it on-air?

The gang will soon find out, and when Travis puts them on-air without them knowing, they will find that the true meaning of radio is not what everyone think it is.
