Finding an orb of special power, they find it has unusual effects on them. They escape from the orphanage (on skates) and try to cross the wasteland looking for a place they can live free as the stormtroopers search for them and the orb.

When an entire family is brutally murdered Fitch works to piece the crime together and comes to a devastating conclusion. Leaving Washington to guard Bobby, Fitch, Longford and Mahajan head out to ensnare Stram. In order to save his family and the squad, Fitch will have to choose which side of the law to come down on. Meanwhile, Sanchez is busy checking into Stone's junkie ex-girlfriend who keeps hanging around the station. To top it all off a tense standoff ends in violence and overwhelming upheaval.
