The store closes early because of an ice storm. Drew reluctantly agrees to carpool with the Optimists Club. However, he misses his ride when his computer suddenly catches on fire. The Optimists Club gets into an accident, and a man is killed. Mimi assumes that it is Drew and spreads the word around the store. Drew believes that divine intervention kept him out of the accident, and questions his purpose. He finds a note in an old bible in which he discussed his goals for the future. He decides to contact his pastor about becoming a minister. While the pastor is looking over Drew's questionnaire, a woman comes into the church and mistakenly assumes that he is a minister. She is in a terrible personal situation and is experiencing money problems. The woman is angry to learn that Drew isn't the minister, but he offers her a job at Winfred-Louder. Drew fails the questionnaire, but comes to realize that he can help people in his current position.

When the winner of the city's Good Samaritan Award is murdered, Gee and his staff are called to help the new female night shift commander. Pembleton is at odds with the detective he shares a desk with. Beau and his wife separate and Kay gets caught in the middle. Meldrick and Munch have plans to buy a bar and try to persuade Bolander to also become a partner. Bayliss agrees to become a "silent" partner. In passing, Crosetti is said to be in Atlantic City on a "shots, slots and sluts" dream vacation.

Ally and Renée are bridesmaids at a friend's wedding. They both bristle at the absurdity of the rituals performed, and swear to never do it. Richard asks Ally to flirt with a wealthy new client. To Ally's chagrin, Cage offers no protest on her behalf, admitting he's undergoing smile therapy which has renewed his appreciation for behavioral reinforcement. Ally and Georgia try a case about overturning a prison warden's decision to refuse marriage for a life-term inmate.

The Drew Carey Show 1.04 - "Nature Abhors a Vacuum" (1995)
Drew fires Suzie, an incompetent employee, only to learn that she had been involved with Mr. Bell. Drew worries about Mr. Bell's reaction. Kate goes to Bell with the proposal that the store start a day spa to increase sales in the cosmetics department. Bell is very impressed with the idea, and wants to meet with Drew and Kate at the Warsaw to further discuss the proposal. However, Drew learns that Bell is really trying to make Kate his latest conquest. She insists that she can take care of herself, but needs some help from Drew when Bell begins hitting on her. After she leaves, a drunken Bell makes Drew stay at the bar and sing with him all night. He tries to force Drew to help him get a date with Kate. Drew re-hires Suzie so that Bell will leave Kate alone. He is unaware that Kate has already confronted Bell, who agreed to stop hitting on her and asked her to run the new spa. After Suzie's re-hiring, he gives her the job instead. Kate realizes that Drew was just trying to help her out, but is still mad. Meanwhile, Lewis and his girlfriend host a sci-fi party at Drew's house, with Oswald serving as DJ. The group trashes the house after the beer runs out.

Homicide: Life on the Streets 1.04 - " A Shot in the Dark" (1993)
Bolander and Munch tackle a case, but Stan keeps throwing his old partner's name at John. Evidently the date with Carol didn't go that well, he doesn't want to talk to her or about her. Pembleton (with Felton) and Bayliss follow different hunches in the Watson case. Chris' recovery is amazing, but it will take a lot of therapy and his getting used to being blind. The suspect in Chris' shooting gives himself up, to prevent being the victim of police justice. Lewis isn't as sure as Crosetti that their suspect is the one. Barnfather lets out a key piece of evidence to the media, taking the wind out of Tim's line of questioning for his suspect. Tim lets him know how he feels, and even though he is right, he must apologize. Pembleton and Felton discuss various racial issues while following up their lead. Carol finally catches up with Stan. Munch wants nothing to do with Karaoke at the bar, but finally gives in and enjoys himself. Frank gets hold of evidence that will allow them to follow up on Tim's lead.

Ally is asked to be a pallbearer at the funeral of her ex-law professor. The widow, Katherine Dawson, invites her to give the eulogy, but Ally's initial reluctance betrays the reason. In a moment of complete vulnerability, she confesses to Billy who supports her by agreeing to attend the funeral with her. This unnerves Georgia, and Cheanie, who are both feeling threatened when they realize Billy is helping Ally out during a difficult time in her life. Georgia confronts Billy, and Cheanie confronts Ally, who refuses to tell him why she's been upset lately. He doesn't understand why she chooses to confide in Billy over him.

After a hectic day as wife, mother, and structural engineer all aspects seem to come crashing down at once on Bridgette Margot when a villian attempts to blow up a large traffic bridge that her family happens to be on along with a hundred other citizens.
Meanwhile the President of the USA is also having a bad day, and despite the objections of his Vice-President decides to go ahead and contact an old friend of his Quinn Daniels (Obsidian Q) to forge a new group to be known as American Storm to help deal with international villians.
The FBI attempts to apprehend Sierra Nevada, with no luck as she subdues all the agents sent, but now she's on the run from the law.
The Super 5 are brought to Air Force One where they each agree to join the group after some reluctance. Americana doesn't want to spend more time away from her family (the Pres convinces her all families are in grave danger without American Storm), Obsidian Q has to try and get over his mixed past with the President, Turboduke would prefer just to play football and party, ElectraWidow is anti-establishment but agrees in return for a pardon of 12 "friends" from FBI charges (including one Sierra Nevada, and other hackers), and Cobalt Jack who is convinced he has to stay near the marina so he doesn't miss his one true love.

The army has tracked down the A-Team in L.A. and so the A-Team leaves L.A. with the help of David Running-Bear they go to the Midwest, where he has an task for them.

The Weird Al Show 1.01 - "Bad Influence" (1997)
Al meets a guy named Spike who has an "exclusive" club. Spike tells Al he might be able to be a member, and he asks to come to his cave to make sure he is cool enough. Spike tricks Al into doing a lot of stupid things, such as tearing off a pant leg, dipping his arms in hot melted chocolate, and shaving off one of his eyebrows. Later on, a guy named Seymour comes over who is in the club. Seymour sees how stupid Al looks, and doesn't get into the club. Spike has tricked Al into acting like a jerk in front of everybody. But in the end, Al figures out why he must think for himself.
