Special: "The Knots Landing Block Party" (1993) (TV)

This CBS special aired right before the "Knots Landing" two-hour series' finale in May 1993. A reflection on the past 14 years of the second longest-running show in TV history, behind "Gunsmoke", this special basically features the four main stars of the show (Michele Lee, Ted Shackelford, Joan Van Ark & Kevin Dobson) sitting in actor's chairs in the actual cul-de-sac the show was filmed in, discussing what their characters meant to them, as well as favorite scenes and the like. There are many more commentaries from various cast & crew and there are many scenes (like a greatest hits package) from past "Knots Landing" shows. Highly entertaining if you are a fan of this great TV show.

The Residents of Knots Landing are facing the future. Val reunites Gary along with the twins. Paige has plans to live with Greg & Anne. Karen marries Mack plans to leave Knots Landing. Pierce's going to jail and Abby leaves town & Julie goes to College.

Knots Landing 14.19 - "Just Like Old Times (2)" (1993)
Treadwell is going to shoot Nick, so Vanessa shoots Treadwell. She tells Tom it was in self-defense, so no charges are filed. With Treadwell out of the way, Val is free, and she and the twins have a tearful reunion. Gary tells her about Kate, but says he never loved anyone the way he loved her. Kate's upset and decides to go away. Karen and Mack yell at each other, and suddenly realize that things are back to "normal" and start to laugh and cry and kiss. Abby tells Greg that she is Treadwell's partner, and is taking over Sumner Group, because she has information to blackmail him. Greg has bought information from Nick and Anne that documents her and Treadwell's illegal dealings, so she can't blackmail him. With the money they made from Greg, Nick and Anne decide to live in Monaco together. At the airport they run into Claudia, who is also moving to Monaco. Greg finds that Paige has taken over his office, and she reminds him she owns 2/3 of the company, but he can have her old office. He says that if they work together, they'll need to spend nights, weekends, even vacations together. She dips him backwards and kisses him. The MacKenzies and Ewings are having a barbecue to celebrate Val's return. Abby drives up and says she heard Claudia's house was on the market, and walks into her old house. Mack shakes his head, and the rest stand there flabbergasted.

Elaine gets comfortable in her position as president of the catalog but is quickly accused of abusing her company credit card benefits. Especially when Elaine buys George an expensive hat and George purposefully leaves it at his girlfriend's apartment in hopes that it will score another date. Meanwhile, Jerry's old college friend has lunch with him and winds up getting fired, and takes a new job at the Chicken Roaster's.

A body is discovered; the victim, a young woman, was strangled. Kramer meets a woman at an audition and he gives her a copy of his script. Jerry loses the correct phrasing for some new jokes and George tries to get Lupe, the chambermaid, to make his bed just right. At The Tonight Show, George disturbs the guests and Jerry bombs. The woman Kramer gave the script to is strangled and his script is found in her possession. Kramer's face is shown on the news as the prime suspect for the "Smog Strangler," a serial-killer.

When all units are called to Kramer's building, Jerry and George leave the police car door open and the 519 suspect escapes. While Kramer is in for questioning, another victim is found. Kramer is released and Jerry and George ask him his plans. He is going to stay in LA. Jerry and George are back in New York and Kramer walks in as if nothing has changed. When Kramer leaves, Jerry tosses him his keys, restoring his key privileges.
