The Drew Carey Show 1.14 - "Drew and Mr. Bell's Nephew" (1996)
Mr. Bell offers Drew a promotion in exchange for training his nephew Blaine, whom Bell hopes will succeed Drew as assistant director of personnel. He isn't interested in doing any work, and forces Mimi to run all of his errands. Kate accidentally sells a giant perfume bottle--valued at $2000---for $150. Drew covers for her and tells her that she can pay back a little of the lost money each week. He reports the perfume stolen. Mimi overhears Blaine blabbing to his uncle about Kate's screw-up. He suggests that Bell fire Drew for protecting her. Blaine also recommends that Mimi be fired. Drew and Mimi call a truce and work together to force Blaine out of the store. They try to make him look bad, but their plan fails. Blaine explains that he betrayed Drew because he thought that it was the only way to get the job. Drew blackmails Bell into firing Blaine by referring to his affair with Suzie. Drew and Lisa plan a rendezvous in the store after closing, but the presence of vicious guard dogs spoils the mood.

Bolander asks Kay if she would double date with him and Linda, to try to take the pressure off his first real date. A slain phone-sex operator is found clutching a note naming her boss as the perpetrator, Bayliss and Pembleton investigate. Munch has trouble dealing with Bolander's happiness, so he crashes the double date and makes everyone miserable. A man is shot to death over a pen at the library, Lewis and Crosetti investigate and find a man with a pen fetish. As Bayliss looks into the murder he begins to get involved.

Ally has a chance encounter with Glenn, the well-endowed artists' model, at a local Starbucks, and makes it very clear that she is irritated with him. On the legal side, John Cage takes on a wrongful death case that Fish is convinced will reap big bucks for the firm. Two adult siblings are suing an airline after their father is killed in a plane crash.

After the Jupiter Too fails a routine intergalactic inspection by Inspector 17, Vashti puts Ty and Morris in charge of cleaning up and keeping an eye on the place while he's on vacation. Ty and Morris are in desperate need of funds to repair the Hoopty. Much to Morris's initial dismay, the little idea light goes off in Ty's head, and the guys are soon the hosts of a universal party held at...where else? The Jupiter Too! Morris is suddenly thrilled with the amounts of cash rolling in, but, before Ty can say "Vashti," Inspector 17 decides not only to shut the Jupiter Too down, but also to blow it up!
