The station receives a bomb threat from the terrorist group Black Monday, and Andy sends Johnny and Venus out to broadcast from the transmitter while the station is being searched. Joyce Armor, Mr. Carlson's former receptionist, visits the station and tells Mr. Carlson she has a "hot proposition" for him. Johnny smashes the transmitter phone in a fit of rage after he's unable to place a call to his bookie.

Homicide: Life on the Street 6.20 - "Secrets" (1998)
Ballard and Munch catch a case involving the death of a prominent businesswoman. Pembleton and Bayliss catch a similar case. Both deaths might be the suicides they appear to be, but as the detectives begin their investigations the facts reveal otherwise. Lewis attends his disciplinary hearing and receives his punishment and is allowed to return to duty in the Homicide unit. Falsone and Lewis investigate another Mahoney related death. The situation within the Mahoney organization may be getting out of control as jury selection begins in the civil suit. The judge dismisses the civil suit, just as he told Kellerman tbat he would. Kellerman confronts him after the trial about the FBI's investigation in front of several witnesses. Bayliss joins Ballard for dinner and he reveals some of his secrets.

While visiting an apartment on official business Clem, Phil, Doyle and Hector hear shots coming from the floor above and chase the perpetrators to the roof. One is killed but the other gets away. They killed a family because drugs were being dealt from their apartment. The view of the officers is that it was more than a random occurrence and that a recently paroled drug lord, Jerome McFee, was involved in some way. Santoro's brother-in-law is arrested for possession of stolen goods, kept in a lock-up that has Santoro's name on the lease, which could cause problems for Santoro.
