Meanwhile, there is also a rift forming between new roommates Janet and Gerald, who can only see the bad in the other roommate, while not recognizing their own idiosyncrasies which may be causing them also to be a bad roommate. And Jung has been riding his bike into work. Even though it's only because he doesn't have enough money to buy a car, Shannon still admires his commitment to his health and the environment. As such, Jung decides to buy Shannon a refurbished bike if only to have her as a bike buddy, she who used to cycle all the time in the small town where she grew up. A little white lie about the bike results in a misunderstanding with potential legal consequences.
