Stuck having to baby-sit Simon's younger brother on Halloween, Marshall and Simon fool around with their video camera. Unfortunately they end up trapping him in a monster movie, while a mummy runs wild in their house.

Marshall knows something's up when he's sent to the new school nurse instead of detention, and his suspicions are confirmed when Simon comes out from the sight check as a homework-loving zombie.

The family receives an inheritance, but the sexes disagree on how to use the money. They split the money for their differing endeavors. Lily and Marilyn open Madame Lily's Beauty Salon, and Herman and Grandpa try to develop a way to send electricity through the air. Unfortunately, things don't go quite as planned.

They find out that a lady in Sioux City, Iowa claims he is her husband. Grandpa insists he knows nothing about it, but he is willing to say he is her husband when he learns she is wealthy.
