A routine morning at Brooklyn’s 74th Precinct turns to chaos when a gunman opens fire outside the station, leaving several officers and civilians dead or wounded. As racial tensions erupt over the shooter’s death in custody, Sergeant Francis Donovan struggles to hold the precinct together while hiding his ties to Internal Affairs. Amid grief and suspicion, veteran cops, rookies, and families alike are tested in the aftermath of the bloodbath that exposes the personal and moral fault lines of South Brooklyn’s finest.

Someone close to Fringe Division is attacked, and bioterrorist David Robert Jones returns. Meanwhile, Walter inexplicably disappears and Nina asks Olivia for a favor.
